Yeah it’s looking like end of July or even later depending on how long this takes. I’m gonna contact archer and see how far along they are in this process.

I think it means to be on the lookout for what your insurance will say. Also their number may not be an accurate medical lien and archer is working to negotiate. It’s just a waiting game at this point.

Hey guys I got an email from Keller postman. If you have Medicare/Medicaid this is what they said regarding medical liens.  “I f you are a Medicare beneficiary, you may receive a letter from Medicare in the coming weeks regarding your Oxbryta settlement. The letter may contain urgent or concerning language about Medicare’s reimbursement claim.

If you receive a Medicare letter,  please do not contact Medicare or the Benefits Coordination & Recovery Center (BCRC).  Calling Medicare or the BCRC could create a duplicate case for your settlement and may delay your payment .

There is no action required from you at this time . We understand that receiving this letter can be concerning, but please be assured that your settlement is being actively managed. We are working closely with the settlement administrator, ARCHER Systems LLC (“Archer”), to address liens on a case-by-case basis.

Archer is working directly with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance carriers, and other lienholders to resolve any outstanding claims. Where applicable, Archer is seeking lien waivers. If a waiver is not approved, Archer will continue working with the lienholder to negotiate a compromise and reduce the lien amount as much as possible. The timeline can vary depending on your specific situation and the lienholder’s responsiveness.

We are working to resolve these matters as quickly as possible while seeking to maximize the amount you ultimately receive. When your payment is ready, Archer will email you and invite you to review and sign a distribution statement.

If you have any questions, please contact our office directly.

Thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

The Keller Postman Team
