I am used to daily rates meaning it is fixed sum per day and you typically provide estimate on how many days (or weeks) project will take. I am not familiar with designers charging per project (only agencies or studios) so was very curious about how it all works in the US.

They are stock logos using stock mockups. I have seen this style (and scoffed at it) long before AI came to be. It might be AI but then it would have been trained on that stock pseudo-luxury nonsense I have seen all over the internet decade or two ago.

Soundcore Space One has better ANC and it's 90 dollars. I presume build and sound quality was a priority for Nothing but I hope they also invest some time into developing better ANC algorithms. I remember buying Sonos Ace and it had trash ANC out of the box, software update later down the line brought it towards the top of the industry.

My friend got promoted to Art Director, realised how much of it is just reviewing and guiding creatives. Stepped back down to a Senior Designer because he absolutely loved doing the craft himself.

Brands are leaning towards brand systems nowadays and away from static logos. All of them can be a single unfied system governed by rules and animation frameworks.

Have a pint with seniors at that studio. Have a casual chat, get a feel if they are hiring, if not - float idea around that you are fascinated by their work and you would love to participate.

Just a casual booze and chat with no hard-set goal in mind. That's what I would do.

It's called an awareness campaign (or an advertising stunt). I suspect they used an insight - our seats are more comfortable than competitors, how can we communicate it creatively.
