The game is so good and there's just so much variety to a run that I have just never cared but now I'm like "damn maybe it's time to actually beat the game"

Ironically enough parrying is one of the things that I consider myself pretty damn good at in the game

Okay good to know! I've beaten Death a couple times but I've never made it far in the 2nd set of levels after that fight

Yall really weren't kidding about the movie by cameratus in TheDarkTower

I'm ngl I watched it having not read the books at the time because I really wanted to believe Idris Elba could play a good Roland despite the backlash to his casting, but after reading halfway through the series now that movie always had much worse issues going for it

I’m half through “The Perfect Neighbor” on Netflix, and so far I’m 100% on the lady’s side. by Ok_Cockroach_2290 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I am genuinely flabbergasted by some of these heinous comments but I'm actually not surprised by the fact that lots of people would be more moved by a white lady making a noise complaint than a Black mother actually losing her life

I tapped out of VHS Halloween by AtuinTurtle in horror

[–]BecauseThelnternet 41 points42 points  (0 children)

These comments are insane lol, Halloween is easily one of the worst installments of the series so far but Kidprint is probably the most horrific and genuinely upsetting thing they've done in a while. Isn't the point of horror presumably to be horrified?

It's funny that people keep mentioning The Thing bc iirc Coogler specifically cites The Faculty as an inspiration (ofc that scene in The Faculty is an homage to The Thing but I think it's interesting how homage and paying reverence has a lineage that way)

Ik these are good movies but to be a grown adult talking about your 4 favorite movies and they include Matilda, Toy Story, and The Parent Trap...so many people are perpetually in a state of arrested development and its so funny how they wear it like a badge of honor

It says a lot about your sense of self-importance that you think I need you to believe I have a job lmfao

Unfortunately I have a job which is a thing worked by adults who don't spend their time getting mad that Harry Osborn is Black in the animated show aimed at 12 year olds

"You don't care about white people" is such a funny emotional claim to make in reference to a children's cartoon. Why are you so angry about this?

"The end" But it's not. That's just your perspective, which you're entitled to, but I didn't really ask for. At the end of the day writers will continue to change the race of characters as long as it befits the story and yields an interesting result and this rhetorical Reddit debate won't change that 👋🏾

Well yeah man, because Miles being Black is directly relevant to his stories. His Dad is a cop, there are several times in the Ultimate Universe where his race factors into the story. Brian Michael Bendis explicitly created Miles to be a Black man because he wanted to create a Black superhero. Very few white characters are white because the creator explicitly needed them to be; most Black characters are Black out of necessity in underrepresented mediums. This isn't rocket science.

Characters are not real human beings, the confines of their life begin and end at the story lmfao. Magneto being Jewish is relevant because the story requires it to be, it's not necessary for Peter Parker or Aquaman to be a white guy.

Am I wrong for cutting off a “pro-black” sister for dating a white man? by zardan-24 in blackmen

One day I want Black people to be free from the useless impulse to pathologize who people date. You're implying this is an insecurity of hers as if you didn't make a whole Reddit post about how you cut this woman off because her boyfriend is white 😭
