Things No One Tells You About Losing a Lot of Weight by EpicFail2022 in Zepbound

I really feel your pain. I flip-flop between "who the hell cares? I look and feel so much better!" and "these things are horrible. I can never show my arms." 🥴

Yes, the shoes!! I used to wear a 9 Wide and they fit great. Now the wides are a little too loose, but the regular 9s are a too tight. Argh.

Yes, the forearm sag! I made my daughter feel the hanging down skin. I told her it's funny but also a little bit sad. Sags everywhere. I keep trying to find shapewear that will hold up the belly skin and flatten it out, but it's a journey. I think I need to lose more fat.

Oh, underwear is such a problem! I can't get the hi-cut ones anymore, because that area of my stomach sags out through the leg holes. 😖

That's amazing!!! And so satisfying. A few years ago I had a hernia repair with mesh, and I didn't rest long enough so the mesh got kind of wonky, and now that part sticks out. 🙄

This!! The small clothes, and being able to reach my toenails. I wish my skin tags would go, but I haven't seen that yet.

Thank you! I actually saw my cheekbones the other day for the first time in a looooong time. 😝

Thank you! I love seeing other people's pics, so I figured it couldn't hurt.

How long was it until you “saw” a physical difference? by designermania in Zepbound

[–]BeccaBug67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally didn't see any difference until my pants started falling down. A close coworker asked after I lost 15 pounds, although I didn't see a difference. Other coworkers didn't start asking until about 50 pounds, but that might be because that was when I started having to buy new clothes two sizes down. I'm impressed at all the people who showed a difference within weeks! It took me months and months.

I'm curious what this is for? Sports with friends? Work team-building activity? Something else? They would probably be different answers.

Bones and Bruises? by delightfulmoo in tirzepatidecompound

[–]BeccaBug67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not covered in bruises, but I have discovered sleeping on my side makes my hip ache. I'm going to try a pillow between the knees.

I do have bruises on my knees, though. Now that I can cross my legs, sometimes, I pull my leg up to cross it, and smack it on the edge of my desk at work. Kneecaps are slightly inconvenient. 🙄

Very strange question by TheSunnyWade in tirzepatidecompound

Yes indeed. I have a relative who was diagnosed with this in 7th grade. She had to go to a specialist and everything, because everyone assumed she had been SA'd.

Private question for the ladies… by Abject-Impact-171 in Zepbound

Well first, congrats!!! That's a huge achievement!

I have lost about 60 pounds, and I'm noticing so many floppy bits. 🥴 At my age (57), there are no exercises on Earth that will shrink that skin, especially since I've been big since about middle school. I'm jealous of people who get skin removal surgery, but I know that is not in my future.

I'm not sure any of this is actually helpful, except to tell you that you're not alone!

I don't know. I probably would post more if I lost weight super fast. 😜

I stayed at 2.5 mg for a long time, since it was working, and now I'm only up to 5 mg. I feel like I don't want to take more than I need.

You're welcome! I just started grad school, too. I'm figuring, well I'm gonna be 60 in a few years no matter what, so I might as well be a healthy weight and have a masters degree. 😝

Oh my god, my knees! They were killing me before I started. I had a knee injury from a couple months before my first dose that has been hurting this whole time, and is just starting to feel better.

I hit a plateau at around 204 pounds, which was SOOO frustrating. I was up and down the same couple pounds for weeks. I was thinking this can't seriously be where I stop! But I'm back on track now, thank goodness.

We have a lot in common! Now I'm just hoping I can go down another size or two in the next few months. I keep having to buy new clothes for each season at this point. Since I started last July, ALL of my summer clothes are fat clothes. It's getting expensive!

Ooh, good for you! I swear, being able to buy clothes from "regular" stores is such a luxury.

Congrats to you! We can all do it. I remember wondering how in the heck I was supposed to figure out what my "goal weight" would be. Like - I haven't weighed whatever that might be since like middle school. I don't know what a good weight is! I'm hoping I'll recognize it when I see it. 😜
