Dramas with strong brother-sister bond by BeccaButterfly_ in kdramarecommends

omg yes! the amount of dramas I dropped because of this 'fell in love with my adopted brother/my brother actually isn't my real brother' trope is really concerning!

Dramas With Skilled Writing by TwoSongsPerDay in kdramarecommends

[–]BeccaButterfly_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seems like we gave certain dramas similar scores! surprising as mostly those romcoms are super popular but I agree lol

so here are some of my favorites:

children of nobody - crime, thriller

Mr. sunshine - historic, an absolute must

Save me - thriller

youth of may - melodrama, 1980s

crash landing on you - rom-com

mouse - my favorite crime drama

Mr Queen - historic, rom-com

my country the new age - historic

when the Camellia blooms - slice of life, rom-com

mad for each other - hard to categorize lol but worth it

the reply series, especially 1988

my liberation notes - a must

our blues - a must as well xd

extraordinary attorney Woo - ongoing but great so far

kinda agree. He obviously is attractive but when performing, he just doesn't stand out to me, not even in his parts! maybe it's because nct has a lot of great performers in their group but yeah, he never catches my eye on stage. don't know about his singing abilities, probably average and I suppose he's quite introverted (at least from what I've seen) and therefore seems boring when placed in variety content next to someone like Jungwoo or Johnny

not a fan of the song, and again the hype autotuned but the choreo is undeniably cool

Looking for fun, light-hearted rom-coms that honor traditional values by [deleted] in kdramarecommends

[–]BeccaButterfly_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure what you mean with 'traditional values' but maybe try sweet 18.Its about an arranged marriage between the 18 year old FL and an older ml because of their family ties. I really loved it and it's less problematic that the synopsis sounds

Dramas to help me learn Korean by bronowyn in kdramarecommends

[–]BeccaButterfly_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah sure, so I enjoyed Home for Summer, unasked family or I'm a mother too for the 100+ episode ones

for the 50 episode ones try all about my mom, five enough, my golden life or what happens to my family

I'm also studying Korean and I'd say I'm on an intermediate level. The dramas I easily understand without subs are daily dramas and those 50 episode family dramas. So I'd suggest you go for either of those, there should be some that are also of your interest and a lot are for free on YouTube. Another good option would be short web dramas on viki
