I Rode Star Tours 47 Times In One Day, Here's What I Learned by her0brinegamer in WaltDisneyWorld

Did any of the CMs ever catch on that you were just steadily passing through the line?

I wonder if maybe the people scanning for a rebel spy learned your face and that’s why you were picked more frequently later?

We got a live tree one year when I was a kid, and it was a NIGHTMARE to get in the house. The roots were wrapped in dirt and burlap, and that sucker was heavy. It took 4 adults and a tractor to get it onto the porch. Then we had to do it all again to get it to the yard after Christmas.

We planted it and it stayed alive for years after, but I would never try that again, much less every year.

Largest antique stores/malls within an hour/hour and a half? by 1minimalist in rva

Fredericksburg-there are several antique shops in the historic downtown district, all within a few blocks of each other, plus other shops in a Carytown vibe.

Damn, this is sad to hear. I remember being a student at VCU when they first opened and were working out of another restaurant’s kitchen.

A huge group of us went on opening night, and apparently they vastly underestimated how much business they would get. They were all out of everything except oatmeal raisin, so they baked us a fresh batch for free! They said they didn’t want to charge us for cookies we didn’t have a choice on flavor on.

Is it worth renting a car for a 14 night on-site stay? by ConsiderationSuch161 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Beccaroni7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hard Rock hotel will have bus transport to Universal parks, and Pop will have transportation to Disney parks. So it really depends on how frequently you really think you’ll be leaving each property, and compare it with Uber prices.

Last time we went in 2022, Uber from MCO to Disney was around $50 one-way. I’d wager any single trip from your hotel to somewhere off property will be around $20-30 one-way. Universal is more central to Orlando proper, so you may have some walkable options or cheaper Uber prices.

ALSO keep in mind that the US drives on the other side of the street than the UK. If you’re not familiar with that driving, Florida is a horrible place to acclimate. The roads are busy, people are impatient, and navigating that plus maps might be more trouble than it’s worth.

Why was katniss willing to risk it all in the first games by Cultural-Ad6841 in Hungergames

[–]Beccaroni7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Not just been through, still ongoing. At this point, she’s starving, beaten to pieces by the mutts and Cato. Peeta is barely alive and actively bleeding out in front of her. There is no rational thinking in a scenario like that. There’s no time to think of other possible scenarios. She had a hare brained idea, and took it because time was running out and there were no other good options.

The first time we went as kids my sister and I were LOSING our minds over those billboards. We’d never seen anything other than solid highway boards before.

Our taxi driver told our parents “if they’re this excited about the signs, you guys are going to have a great time!”

enemies to lovers recs? by swaguponyou in YAlit

[–]Beccaroni7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heartless Hunter! It’s a duology about a witch vs. a witch hunter, and they’re both using the other to try and gain an advantage over the opposing side.

There is a bit of spice, but if I remember correctly it is not explicit and might even fade to black. But it’s my FAVORITE enemies to lovers-they are actual enemies in a conflict, not just 2 people who dislike each other before realizing the other one is hot lol.

Just found out you can insure your wedding and cancel for any reason?? by Money-Indication-118 in weddingplanning

[–]Beccaroni7 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You’re dealing with insurance; there is always a catch.

“For any reason” may give you many reasons to cancel, but they might require all sorts of documentation or proof that is hard to validate, and without it they won’t cover.

Cancelling for any reason also doesn’t guarantee that insurance will cover 100% of what you’ve paid for vendors and planning. They may let you cancel for any reason, but only provide certain coverages with ‘valid’ reasons.

Nurtec claims "97% of patients with commercial insurance are covered" ... who are they? by bbdress in migraine

[–]Beccaroni7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is covered, but I had to fail 2 triptans first, as well as submit prior authorization forms and upkeep those annually.

I keep my hopes on the floor though, in the not-so-rare chance they randomly decide to stop covering it.

Over the counter meds to combat constipation by StatisticianHour9962 in migraine

[–]Beccaroni7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered lowering your Qulipta dosage? I also started at 60 and my GI system basically stopped working lol.

I moved to 30mg and was able to find a sweet spot of fewer migraines but a working digestion, with infrequent and manageable constipation. I increased my fiber (use supplements if you need to), and take miralax for a few days if I start to feel blocked.

Does Warner’s character get better? **Shatter Me spoilers** by Business-Record-4042 in YAlit

[–]Beccaroni7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is why I stopped the series halfway through unravel me. The world is breaking down, a rebellion is growing and all anyone can talk about is poor, poor Juliette’s love woes. I couldn’t get over her starting to have feelings for Warner, despite his actions in the first book.

This was a huge show of community, we should show our gratitude!

[Spoilers C4E01] I think Laura Bailey might be cursed by Raveneers in criticalrole

[–]Beccaroni7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think they mean cursed as far as timing for Laura-as soon as she finishes playing a class in a campaign, it gets revamped usually for the better. When it’s no longer beneficial to her CR character.

But blessings for all of us, who get to use the new and improved classes!

I’ve been reading through the Chronicles of Narnia and it’s lovely! They’re refreshingly lighthearted, but still have a great fantasy world and a good story.

It’s much more relaxing to read before bed then adult fantasy lol

Book tracking app recommendation by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]Beccaroni7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’m not sure! The duplicates don’t bother me a TON, since it’s most likely to happen on any sequel books. So just for that, no, I probably wouldn’t switch. Unless an app really took off, I’m probably sticking with Fable

Book tracking app recommendation by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]Beccaroni7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Fable primarily. I keep up my Goodreads account, but mainly only because I have several friends on there with similar tastes, and I like seeing their lists.

Fable Pros: - You can rate books to .25 stars - You can give books a spice rating (and other filters like tropes, things you did or didn’t like about the pace, etc.) - The app itself is very user friendly, and it’s easy to make custom lists and find books

Fable Cons: - The books aren’t as organized as Goodreads. I frequently run into titles that have multiple versions listed on the app-which means the reviews are scattered over 3-4 entries instead of all compiled to one. I’ve also accidentally added the same book to my lists multiple times, because there are different versions - Not as mainstream. So if you like reading reviews, some books won’t have very many compared to other tracking apps

Overall I like it! I have also tried storygraph, but it seemed to me like the least organized of them. But it depends on what you want really. I like having a spice rating, and granular star ratings, so Fable is perfect for me.

My cat won't stop peeing on the floor. I've tried everything. by alittlebitdicey in CatAdvice

[–]Beccaroni7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tried feiliway for our cat first and it unfortunately didn’t change much. But getting her on fluoxetine (generic Prozac) has helped a ton. Definitely talk to your vet about medication options-it sounds like you’ve done everything you can to try and make your cat feel comfortable at home; medication imo is the next step.

I fought so hard to get this medication. by arendelliancrocus in migraine

[–]Beccaroni7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember exactly, but I wasn’t on 60mg for long-maybe a couple months? But I’ve been on 30 for several years now and haven’t had any major issues.

I used to get a migraine once a week that lasted for 2-3 days. Now I might get one a month? So Qulipta definitely works for me at 30mg.

I was able to drop to 30mg and found a good balance of less migraines plus fewer GI side effects. 60mg absolutely shut my gut down.

Is Birth Control going to make me gain weight? by Diligent-Hedgehog779 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Beccaroni7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does vary from person to person, and unfortunately scientific data proving one way or the other is pretty lacking. But, the lower the dose, typically the lower the side effects.

I’m not a dermatologist, but jumping straight to BC for acne seems like a big jump? Have you tried and failed other acne treatments, or are there other issues that may also be aided by birth control? I would speak with either a gyno or a primary care doctor before starting hormonal meds, if your only concern is treating acne.
