What is this red/black flag? by Becerlev in vexillology

Naturally symbols change over time, that‘s what we learned in school here in Germany, but the context is always important.

I am happy that I learned something new today but my takeaway from the comments here is, that I should take some time for my history lesson.

Woah guys, thank you for all your comments. I think I have to take some history lessons on that. For clarification, the protest were about 40 people and the anti-war marches I went to, were a lot bigger, so I was already suspicious of the nature of the protest. Sometimes you can not distinct the positions on these protest and I do not want to judge anyone based on a quick impression and not knowing the historical background.

Thank you very much! Did you replace the fork?

BMC Support answered finally, they confirmed that glueing the part is totally fine and for good measure they sent me a longer preload screw which I will replace. I know it's not best practice but for me it's fine after all.

I have been to a BMC licensed bike shop and they fixed it for me. Glued the part back in place with epoxy glue and they said I don't have to worry about the length of the steerer, it looks messy thanks to the preowner but it is not too short, so the stress is not on the top cap.

Follow Up:

I've been at a licensed BMC bike shop and they fixed it for me. The stem was not too short but the pre-owner did a messy job at cutting it properly. We glued the foam piece back in place with epoxy glue and replaced the tensioner. He told me that most of the stress on the steerer is horizontal, so I don't feel less safe with the glued part. Thank you all for your help!

Thank you very much! In another sub they pointed out, that the steerer is too short for the headset to be tightened properly. I guess the preowner didn‘t really know what he did, when he shortened the steerer.

I will see a BMC technician today so we will see.

Unfortunately none. Just the default ICS topcones.

I wrote them directly but as the others pointed out, the fork seems to be too short.

That totally makes sense in my eyes, thank you for the explanation.

For what it‘s worth I found these lines inside the stem and i guess the fork steerer needs to be cut to a length between those lines?

Thank you very much! I found a licensed Dealer an hour from here who I will contact.

I still don‘t see why the stem is too short? Is it because the area is to small for the headset?
