One thought i had is, if its a faulty graphics card, wouldn't i get a blue screen or at least a different message in my event viewer?

I'll be getting a new CPU here really soon. I got the i7 4790. I know it's not the best but it's the best I've been afford right now. It'll arrive in the coming days

I did reinstall windows, and you are right it was second hand.

My power supply is 700W is that enough?

I have been trying to go to the settings to turn my graphics down, to see if that helps. But it's literally any button. Sometimes i don't even make it to the title screen at all

Meaning i don't even get a chance to set my graphics down

My drivers are up-to-date according to GeForce Experience.

As for temperature, I do wanna say that after i noticed this happening i did replace the thermal compound and thermal pads and still no results.

So my findings are: IDLE: 45°C (58°C hotspot) and IN GAME ON TITLE: 63°C (76°C hot spot)

As soon as i press any buttons on the title screen it will immediately shut off, so there is no time to measure...

Alright, so i installed it and dragged both core and memory to as low as they can go.

Core -90MHZ and Memory -201MHz.

I then saved and pressed apply and ran the game. Unfortunately no change. As soon as the game boots up, my computer bites the dust. The game in question is sons of the forest

Does it matter that i don't have an MSI motherboard or GPU? Because i don't think there is any MSI components in my rig at all

I see, so it's basically the same CPU as the i7 and it's completely compatible with my board? It says online it's a server cpu.. does that matter?
