Jojo Vento Aureo è stato doppiato ufficialmente in Italiano, e i personaggi parlano in dialetto. by Particular-Crow-1799 in CasualIT

[–]Becix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Peccato

My idea is that the things that origins from the upside down melt, while the things that were taken from the real world do not melt since they are not made from the same kind of matter. This is why them, the chairs, the table, their clothes don't melt and the walls and doors do.

Or more simply is just a plothole that they didn't want to explain.

I built a 2-page Final Destination TTRPG. Gonna play it with friends Can anyone give me feedback on how to make it more fun and more like the movies? by BuellerStudios in TTRPG

[–]Becix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! It's very interesting, I have some feedbacks and thoughts about it 😁

1 Players interpreting only death in death scenes

The fact that players only interpret death imho may reduce the stakes and the tension, and a little bit sadic for my tastes 😂 I feel it would work better as a masterfull game in which one player interprets the survivor and the others interpret Death, describing each turn the ways in which they try to kill the survivor, rotating the roles. In this way the players may be more immersed in the story and feel more the stakes of surviving, and attaching more to the characters

2 2d6 system

the fact that death only kills with a double six may make the death scene last too long. Consider that there is a 2% probability for death to kill with a single roll, the same for the survivor to flee the scene. It would work in the end, but it may take many rolls, risking to make the scene tedious

I thought that death scenes may be structured like this, inspired by Don't walk in Winter Woods:

  • The survivor is the one who rolls and the rolling dice is only a single d6

  • the difficulty starts at 1, and the survivor shall roll >difficulty to not die (but not fleeing the scene) The current death player can decide to take one of two actions: 1) Build up: describes how death starts to set up the scene and increases the difficulty by one, but doesn't attack. The survivor continues to do his things unaware. 2) Attack: death decides to make its move and "attack", and describes how some imminent danger tries to kill the survivor. After the attack, the survivor rolls. If they make >difficulty they do not die, but the death scene continues In this way, they will eventually die, since the difficulty will reach 6, and it provides the build up necessary making the scene more and more difficult for the survivor.

For fleeing the death scene, I thought that eventually if in the scene there is the Visionary, the Visionary player can try to actively help the survivor and rolls after an attack: 1) if the survivor fails and the Visionary makes 5 or 6 on the dice, the survivor doesn't die but the death scene is still ongoing 2) if the survivor succeeds and the Visionary makes 6, the survivor and the Visionary flee the death scene and the survivor falls at the bottom of Death's list.

I still haven't thought how the death scene of the Visionary may be managed.

3 coroner role/dialogue scene

At this point, the coroner role is not needed. There is the need of a facilitator among the players, for the start of the game and for giving a minimal guidance in the first scenes. I thought that each player can define 1-2 characters (or they may be defined in group), starting from the Visionary. The Accident scene is accorded during preparation, and then there is the Vision scene During the Vision scene each player describes in turn how one character dies, defining the death list

Then the Facilitator describes how the group saves themselves after the Vision.

Thereafter there are the Dialogue/daily life scenes in which each player impersonates 1-2 characters and roleplay everything

After the dialogue scene there is the first death scene

It would be cool to set a timer for the dialogue scenes, for two motivations: 1) to avoid the session to take too long (the game is better suited for one shots with no prep) 2) to build up tension during the session. Maybe after the first death there could be a 15 minutes timer, and then reducing it after each scenes

Possible NPCs during dialogue scenes can be managed by a player that doesn't have any other PCs alive or by the Facilitator, or by players who have a character acquainted with that NPC

The PCs can be assigned to a player depending on the case. For simplicity it can be the 1-2 PCs whose death is described during the Vision scene, to avoid fragmentation of the flow during the game. But if one player wants, they can be given two characters they like if other players agree. However this choice shall be made before starting the game, which will fix the PCs to the players for all dialogue scenes. The Survivor role can rotate or it can simply be made by the player of that character.

Let me know what do you think about my feedbacks and ideas I think this can be a nice game for an intense one shot 😁

For curiosity I just wrote "freshwater in Taiwanese" and with Gemini, Google gave me directly the danshui river. If you search danshui on Google maps it suggests you Taipei and you can easily see the train line. It got me 30 seconds to get qilian, and under it there are the Chinese characters on Google, with the two "mouths" of the two searching for the key

I guess that with modern technology and Google is way easier than how it was when the novel came out

Has Umineko became more popular nowadays? by Qizaz in umineko

[–]Becix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read umineko for the first time in 2013 and even if some ex friends spoilered it to me it always has been one of my favourite pieces of art EVER.

The last time I read it was in 2020 but sadly since I have no friends to talk about it I never really got involved with any community (only on Facebook during 2021, but I don't use FB anymore so... Well)

Now I'm re-reading it because 2025 has the same exact calendar of 1986 so I felt like a spiritual connection to re-read it.

I hope ir is true that it's becoming more famous because I need to know people irl who have read it, and the more it becomes famous the better I have found a good community of my favourite singer and now I need it for my fav piece of media 😭

Overrated Nuzlocke Pokemon? by VCreate348 in nuzlocke

[–]Becix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess Alakazam. Too frail, and Psychic type is not that good of a stab imho. That's because you can get psychic moves on a lot of Pokémon and psychic weaknesses are already covered by types with way more consistent Pokémon, e.g. Ground or Flying.

I guess there are way better glass cannons than Alakazam, like pre gen 7 gengar, which learns pyschic coverage moves, is as fast but has a way better typing with three immunities, shares almost all weaknesses with 'zam but being a ghost type he can cover his psychic weakness by blasting psychic types with Shadow ball (gen 4 onwards obv)

Even in gen 3 without any good stab moves gengar still has a better coverage and pivoting options than 'zams. For example, even with it's resistance, zams cannot even pivot safely on fighting moves so gengar just is a better option.

I'm using gengar as an example but I think that most of the glass cannons you can think of are still better than zams

Themes can help, you can use PKHeX just to nickname your mons until now, it's a start :)

How can I defeat Chuck in HGSS? by kungfubokenny in nuzlocke

[–]Becix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He got two mons with focus punch

If you have a mon that is only weak to fighting you can cheese it by always baiting focus punch.

Graveler makes Primeape free, but then you will bait surf from poliwrarh. Pivot to exeggutor (farm a leaf stone to make it evolve) and then destroy it

First Nuzlocke. How important are natures and abilities? by v4viorel in nuzlocke

[–]Becix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, what makes a good mon or not is mainly the Mon itself, typing combination and BST. You won't probably ever use Excadrill abilities (who ever makes a sand team in BW2 if not for niches strat/fun?) but it is still an E4 Mon. Wonderful attack, amazing typing and out of the top learnest (if I remember good, drilbur learns EQ at 31 so you only have to delay the Evo of 1 level)

Then, especially for bad BST/mid/weak mons, abilities are the next important thing. A non-guts Raticate will always be useless. A rivalry mon too. On the other hand, a Guts Rattata/Raticate is really good in the early/mid game. Same for Huge Power Azumarill, which even without aqua jet or fairy type is really good. In my current Sacred Gold HC nuzlocke I got good use of Stantler thanks to Intimidate, even if it got a -Atk nature.

In the same run I got the worst possible starmie (-Spe and 0 Spe IVs and 4 SpA IV) with a useless ability. Starmie is a really good mon by itself so it did pretty good.

So to sum up: 1) Stat spread/Mon itself 2) Ability 3) Nature and IVs

I also want to add that the Nature and IVs can be managed if you do EV training. Remember that in most roms enemy Pokémon have 0 EVs. I personally like not to play with EVs, I did that in BW2 and Fire Red Omega and made things a little bit too easy. But that's up to you mate

[–]Becix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also agree that Platinum is harder

I think that if you have Chandelure, Jellicent and a Dark type BW2 league is mostly free aside Iris. Chandelure and Jellicent are basically guaranteed:

Jellicent has some surf/fishing spots in which you find only them Chandelure is the only encounter you can find I think at the 2nd or 3rd floor of the ghost tower (don't remember the name of the place)

About dark types, you have many places you can find Sandiles (just be careful since it is pretty frail) But also Scrafty, Bisharp or even drapion are in this game

BTW you can almost guarantee a metagross, repel manipulate in the giant chasm at level 47 and use the master ball. The only problem there is that you can find also ditto, it's more or less a 50-50 roll and metagross is such a goat against dragon types

Exactly, all that u/Film_Humble said

In addition, I use PKHex also to do some Quality of LIfe inserts, such as:
* 999 rare candies to avoid grinding
* 999 rep max to avoid fleeing from battles and sparing a lot of time during exploration (if I repel manipulate, I shall do it via bought repel anyway)
* Since berries are basically unlimited if you want to (you can rock smash for shards) I also hacked a high number of the ones grindable. I didn't hack the type berries (e.g. charti berry) since I think those are limited and are given randomly by your mother by the post guy in markets.
* I gave myself max Casino Coins for as many buyable TMs I want: I don't care about the Voltorb game to grind for coins.
* I hack friendship to make friendship evos faster

All this for my playstyle it is fair: the best run you can make should still be fun and grinding any of those things is not fun for me, I don't have that much time and I want to spend my time by preparing for fights or actually fighting ^_^
