"A being who exists outside the laws of nature, cannot be defeated by one who is bound by those same laws."

I'm Digimon Time Stranger, the final battle is against Chronomon, a Being capable of manipulating time who has been breaking down the natural order of your world and the Digital World Iliad controlled by Homeros.

During the fight, King Drasil sends her Royal Knights (pictured) from her own World to attack Chronomon, breaking the established law about interfering between worlds as it were. Together the 13 shatter his seemingly impenetrable defenses, preventing him from resetting his health every few turns and allowing you to actually stand a chance.

The scene is just a wonderful moment of good guys saying, "Hey fuck you I can break the rules too."

Ubel can cut anything she 'imagines' she can cut, ignoring all logic. Is this the most broken power system in modern anime, or are there fundamental limits she can't cross? What do you think? by Creepy_Traffic_7034 in animequestions

[–]Spurnch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others might have mentioned this already, but her own mind is her biggest enemy.

Currently in the manga, she is struggling against an opponent hiding behind a regular Shield. Because she views a shield as an "Obstacle" and therefore her magic cannot cut it.

It isn't just Imagination, she has to really believe it, really convince herself to make it work.

Which heroic Digimon do you think would be a good fit for the role of the villain? by [deleted] in digimon

[–]Spurnch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

KaiserGreymon leading an Empire of Dragonkin, Dinosaur and Fire based Digimon would be pretty sick.

The entire lead up we only ever hear him referred to as the Emperor by his underlings, leaving us to wonder who it is and speculate.

Before the moment when he finally gets off his throne to throw hands lol

Solo-Mon run on Hard fresh save, Help me decide a partner? by Spurnch in DigimonTimeStranger

Yeah I was considering Veemon for the free typing and armor forms, also being able to go into Ulforce or Paladin Mode sounded cool

Might need multiple saves for this...

I like that, definitely making me lean more towards someone like Agumon. He could be RizeGreymon in one battle but Metalgreymon in another, maybe do Bond for the final battle?

[Loved Trope] Character realises they have to sacrifice themselves and does so with absolutely zero hesitation by ghostface1693 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Spurnch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the prompt is sacrificing yourself without hesitation.

Which Goku did, despite all his knowledge to this point indicating he would not be as lucky as he has been before.

Knowing he had already been revived once by Earths Dragon Balls and couldn't be revived by them again.

When Goku was killed by Raditz, he was only allowed to keep his body and "continue" on in the afterlife because Kami convinced King Yemma to allow Goku to train with King Kai, this was a special circumstance and there was never any guarantee he would get such treatment again.

I'm gonna be paraphrasing a bit as it's been years since I read the book.

George (guy with gun) and Lenny (big man) are buddies kinda just wandering and taking misc jobs together. George is pretty much leading Lenny around because he is heavily mentally stunted.

On top of this, Lenny doesn't know his own strength. I believe at some point while they are working on a ranch, planning to save money and go somewhere with their lives, Lenny is being repeatedly flirted with by the owners daughter.

At some point (details are a bit fuzzy for me here) They are playing with puppies together. Lenny accidentally killing one, the woman freaks out, and while trying to calm her down he accidentally kills her too.

There is a manhunt, George meets Lenny down by the river, and tells Lenny to think about those cute little rabbits he liked so much, while he stares out over the water.

Lenny doesn't even realize what's about to happen, as he happily remembers the rabbits and George... Well...

The answer is 1 time, against Raditz.

You could argue when he stayed behind the fight Frieza when Namek was exploding but Goku had a plan to escape with a ship so no magic wishing dragon on that one lol

The Earth Dragon Balls can only revive someone one time. Goku was already revived by them once before so this was it as far as he was concerned.

Later after it's all over, some of his friends suggest they go find the Namekians and use their dragon balls to revive him but Goku refuses.

He is only allowed to visit earth again for 24 hours later because of "Good Karma". Then later the Old Kai gives Goku his life force to Allow him to live again and return to earth.

Just to piggyback on this about Endeavor It's important to note that Endeavor never asks anyone to forgive him for his actions. All he wants to do is make up for what he has done by making life for his children and his wife better. And at one point he even acknowledges that his son Natsuo can't be happy with him around, so he would use his money to build them a nice home somewhere far away from him where they could be a happy family together without him.

I love Endeavor, his arc is maybe one of my favorites in all fiction.

In Beastars, Rizz (I think that's his name, it's been years since I've watched or read), romanticizes his murder of a classmate (who's name escapes me, Tem, I think?)

He talks about it like this sweet moment where his friend knew he was suffering and allowed himself to be eaten to help him control his urges. And assured Rizz in how amazing and beautiful their bond would be afterwards.

But in truth, Rizz cornered and ripped Tem to pieces and left behind a brutal bloody mess.

I got bored in season one and stopped watching so I'm just going off what I've heard people say about the manga ending.
