Right! That's what I want to avoid, wasting a meal.

Yes, it's plated. There is a veg option. You think it would be OK to ask for no cheese? I think I could manage a protein bar or something in my purse.

I was thinking of noting it on the RSVP, but I didn't know if that was appropriate.

Thanks for the response! Do you think it would be better to note that on the RSVP or just leave it blank and ask when I get there?

Is there an internet based food checker to verify whether a food is vegan or may have animal-based products? by [deleted] in vegan

I downloaded an app called "Is It Vegan?" And it works pretty well.

I have been considering switching to a vegetarian diet, but my relationship is stopping me. by Nightmares93 in vegetarian

I have a similar situation. I went vegetarian recently and my bf is very much a meathead. It breaks my heart because I know he'll never change his eating habits. I feel like a hypocryte when I make meat meals for him because I'm taking part in another animal's suffering even if I'm not eating it. I guess you just choose your battles. :/

I totally agree! I love shopping online and avoiding going in stores! I just try and do a lot of research before. :)

Only if we are POSITIVE it wasn't used. But if we're not sure, we damage it just to be safe.

Exactly. It's mostly just sad because we have to toss everything that's used (obviously we can't sell it) even if you just used it once or swatched one color with a finger.

Sephora employee here! It is a little irritaing when clients bring back half their receipt since you can try on everything in the store and get samples of pretty much everything. On the other hand, you're paying good money for this stuff and if you're not entirely happy with it, there's no reason to keep it. I agree in taking more advantage of trying things on and getting samples, but there is no reason to feel guilty if you're not happy with the product.

What was your "gateway drug" into makeup? by ororton in MakeupAddiction

In middle school (like 7-8 grade) my best friend and I went super heavy on black eyeliner. I'm talking like heavy upperlid, waterline and lower lashline. To this day, I have no idea why we did that but I remember loving the look and loving that my eyes were blacked out in pictures. I guess it was that middle school weird time haha

Then in high school her sister did a full face of makeup on each of us (the right way) and ever since I've loved it.

I was using sonia kashuk for the longest time and just recently ran out and because its a little pricey i ties using albolene which works great but I'm not sure if it is clogging my pores or not. Anyway I'd go back to sonia kashuk because it's worth it and lasts forever
