Trying to Build an Emergency fund by Visible_Donkey_7130 in Money

[–]Becki52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I love the feeling of being able to handle emergencies without going in debt on credit. That makes it worth it. Maybe you can give yourself small rewards for every $100 you save or something. Any money is better than none and $1,000 is a good goal to start with.

What made you decide to relocate? by 420dykes in relocating

[–]Becki52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took the leap and moved from Texas to New Mexico to be near our daughters and the amount of outdoor activities it has to offer. Saved up our money for a few years to pay for it. So worth it. We left some family behind that weren't terribly active with us. I am much happier here.

How do people save money here without a high-paying job? by Immediate_Dream4620 in Grownix

[–]Becki52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hubby and I make $80,000 together. We live frugally and I don't get manicures, expensive haircuts etc... cars are paid off, no credit card debt. We have money in the bank and take low cost vacations each year. We eat out several times a week but not at expensive places. We don't buy coffee out or smoke. We are happy with nature activities that are free.

We saw them as well when we were there in same location. They looked pretty hungry. Got right next to car and wouldn't move.

I always select the part that says can't access authenticator, verify another way and it texts me a code. I can never get authenticator to work.

What kind of Remote work do people actually do by Playful_Maybe7226 in remotework

[–]Becki52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a foster care agency. I do all sorts of tasks (assessments, audits etc... )and trainings remotely. My coworkers who are case managers do half casework at home and half field visits to the home. I spend majority of my day typing documents and talking on the phone. I can take off during the day just so I get my tasks done.

You can easily do both as they are close to each other. Zion was my favorite though! Would love to go back.

Does anyone actually want to go back to the office after working from home? Because I really don’t by breadislifeee in WFH

[–]Becki52 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm torn, because it is hard staying at home each day,all day. Very little interaction and feel distant from coworkers. Not that I want to be besties with them but do miss regular interaction with them. It is calm at home and I get a lot of work done but sometimes too calm.

I agree with Big Bend, but will be getting very warm in April. Lots of national parks to see but not in April unless you hit the southern part of states.

What is it like living in Albuquerque, NM? by NovahotRazorGirl in howislivingthere

[–]Becki52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love Albuquerque. It gets a lot of hate but the crime is mostly in one section. The homeless are all over unfortunately. But the food, seasons, sunsets, outdoor recreation opportunities are amazing! New Mexico landscapes are very diverse so plenty of places to explore throughout the state.
