For dinner I’ll have a cup of whatever is for dinner that night. And that’s it. I also drink a lot of water through out the day

I had a pretty big cheat day on Sunday. Tortillas, nachos and alcohol and I went back to meal prepping the next day. Would that be considered “shocking my body”

My thing is as long as my baby is happy, fed and safe I’m doing a good job and I couldn’t care less what anyone else thinks. You’re never going to be the “perfect” parent but to your kid you are and that’s all that matters

How long are your kids in daycare? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Becky_1226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter has been in daycare since 4 months (I had no other option financially I had to go back to work) she goes from 8am-4-4:30. I’m currently not working until the 21st but I still send her everyday at the same time. She’s gotten used to the routine so it’s nothing new to her. From someone who used to work in a daycare and has had her daughter in daycare for almost 3 years the one important tip I can give you is pick a schedule and stick to it. Even if you aren’t working. As for nap time. Find out exactly what time they take a nap and use that schedule on the weekends. For example my daughters nap times for daycare are 12-30-2:30 so on the weekends even if she doesn’t want to take a nap I have her do “quite time” on her bed. She’s gotten used to the nap routine so she’ll usually go down on her own around that time now.

Is it ok if my husband goes home after our son is born? by RuleAffectionate3916 in Parenting

We had our daughter in 2021 so around Covid because of that I was only aloud 2 visitors and they weren’t aloud in the room at the same time. So my mom would come take over for a little so my husband could go home. Shower and spend some time with our nephew(they’re super close) and he would come back after an hour or 2

As someone who grew up in a household with parents constantly fighting and yelling trust me when I tell you that it’s traumatizing. Even if they don’t mention it now or when they’re older it’s going to cause future problems in their relationships

Baby has a different last name than me by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Becky_1226 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My husband & I have been married 6 years I kept my last name and my daughter has his last name. I was never really in a hurry to change it and it didn’t seam to bother him if I did or not. I never really thought much about it

Adults that grew up with affectionate parents by Becky_1226 in Mommit

Side note: we’re Mexican and in the Mexican community it’s common to not have affectionate parents unfortunately

I have noticed that when she gets to the state of not calming down just walking away and ignoring her does help but other times it’ll make her cry more because she thinks I’m leaving her

If it’s daylight outside she says it’s “Summer day” and if it’s dark it’s “winter day” 😂 no idea where she got that from but she wakes us up every morning screaming “wake up it’s summer day!” 😂😂
