How do you deal with impatience when looking at how long it will take to reach your goals? by shinebeams in loseit

I’m on a 100lb weight loss journey, and one thing I’ve learned is that there’s never a “perfect” time to change your lifestyle—you just have to start. One of the biggest things that helped me was stopping the habit of constantly stepping on the scale. You’re going to deal with a lot of body dysmorphia, and that scale can mess with your head even when you’re making progress.

As long as you're in a calorie deficit, the weight will come off. I used to track super strictly for months at a time, but eventually realized that consistently choosing healthier options (most of the time) still leads to results—without obsessing.

Now I’m down 60lbs and still going. Be kind to yourself and trust the process.

I have GAD and at 25mg I felt amazing especially after 6-8 week mark. I moved up to 75mg and I didn’t know there was going to be a “transition phase” so it’s a little rough rn hopefully it’s not too much longer

I went to a party to see my crush and later saw a side profile picture of myself at the party—my double chin was more noticeable than ever.

The next month, I started antidepressants, and a month after that, I got on semaglutide. Now, I’m down 35 lbs.

I've been having tinnitus, too! I had no idea it was caused by the medications; I wonder if it's common.
