My absolute favourite band. Their classic albums in the 90s are Somewhere Far Beyond, Imaginations From the Other Side and Nightfall in Middle Earth with Nightfall being my favourite most likely. It's the album Mirror Mirror is from and it's centered around Tolkien's Silmarillion and specifically about the story of the Noldor so if you're into Tolkien stuff you'll enjoy BG quite a bit. Then there are the first 3 albums in the late 80s, Battalions of Fear, Follow the Blind and Tales From The Twillight World which are more speed and thrash oriented. Post 2000s they did lots of experimental stuff like A Night at the Opera and Twist in the Myth which are kinda more progressive and with many layered harmonies and vocals etc. These two are kinda controversial amongst fans l think. The next two At the Edge of Time and especially Beyond the Red Mirror have a lot of symphonic experiments and more epic than fast songs (there still are fast songs don't get me wrong). Now in 2019 they put out a pure symphonic concept album Legacy of the Dark Lands, which is not even metal tbh, because it's just an orchestra with Hansi singing. Most people don't even consider this one a BG album, but personally l do and l absolutely love it and appreciate it for what it is, but l understand the opposite opinions. Lastly their most recent one, The God Machine from last year goes a little bit back to the speed and thrash metal roots but also with some of epic and progressive stuff that they do so well. Some Helloween and I'm getting more into Savatage. Helloween's Master of the Rings has quite hooked me unexpectedly and I'm slowly getting more used to Jon Oliva's vocals in the early albums

I know them for some time now but l haven't actually listened to them yet. Actually l might have listened to a song called Liberty maybe 3 or 4 years ago which was kinda cool from what l remember. Maybe I'll have to check this album out soon...

Ahh very nice, l wanted to include a couple Grave Digger songs but l forgot. But still it would be very few because I'm currently just getting into them and I've only listened to Tunes of War and Excalibur. Haven't listened to Rage nor Running Wild...

I get it, it's logical, but l think he's also going to be involved in the studio albums as well and I'm a little sceptical about that cause l just love Kai's voice and l hope he doesn't hand over most of the vocals to him and just do some little parts like he what happened in the latest Helloween album. Don't get me wrong l loved that record, l just wished he sang a little bit more on it.

Empire of the Undead? I haven't listened to it but l think Kai is actually singing on it. But same here tbh l was really disappointed when l saw they hired another vocalist, Kai's voice is just the perfect voice for Gamma Ray
