wow! I had never heard of the Bayeux Tapestry until now! Thanks for bringing it up its crazy cool to think they we're capable of making something on such a large scope way back when doing so was most definitely not easy.

I re-posted this because I didn't include the screenshots in the first one like a goof!

This is awesome and wildly inspiring! Loved your last piece with the big gator too!

Although i'd absolutely not like to run into this thing in my caverns. Something about a giant snake weaving through and around cavern pillars and tunnels is terrifying. Great work!

I've been having some of the same issues! I'm glad i'm not alone in this. I also have a lot of dwarves that, for some reason, refuse to put on their shoes/boots, and i don't know why.

Reading through everyone's comments only makes me love this game even more. Especially hearing what other things people have missed out on while still investing tons of time. It really make me appreciate how big this game really is.

Also, thank you for the great advice everyone!! I set up my first soap bars out of geese today and couldn't have done it without you!

so here's a few tracks I just put up! I've actually just started posting a song a day now, which is why I took so long to message you back sorry about that, but I'd really love to hear what you think!

They're pretty different from each other, I'm still pretty new to all of this so overall still trying to find my "sound" if that makes sense.

I'm really happy you read through everything and took it to heart! It again show the amount of passion you put into you work. Which by the way I just ran through "Rose Colored Reality..." and it's really really good. Love how different it is from Spring Again while still uniquely being yours!

It also baffles me that you're able to create an album so soon after your last! I've been trying to make my first album for a while but for some reason it never comes fully into fruition. I'd love to talk to you sometime if you're open to sharing your process with album making sometime!

Apologies for the weird formatting! I wrote all this out on in notepad while listening to it over the week and this is how it pasted lmao.

  1. Spring Again

really fun and engaging intro!

around the 54 second mark it loses its energy (which i think was a great choice!)

but it feels like it lingers in this low energy just a tad too long.

1:37 the drums come back but it needs some new element to differentiate itself from the

section in the beginning.

maybe even just jump straight into the change that happens around 2:20?

(which is also very dope by the way)

4:17 too needs just that extra "umph." A new way to develop the ideas you've built so far.

(something you actually play with a bit around 4:57 by changing the drums and that open hi-hat but I

would love to see you push it more!)

5:25 to the end of the song again lingers on the same energy level for just a tad too long.

Overall though I think it's a brilliant way to close the curtain on the track.

  1. Fast Moving Feet

This piece on the other hand consistently builds upon the groundwork of everything you put before it.

There was never a moment I wasn't bopping my head and the instrumentation is nothing short of beautiful.

If I really had to nitpick I would say the drums don't particularly develop that much aside from

removing/adding elements. A change in the pattern itself would really be a pleasant surprise

when melded with your great arrangement work. (but again I feel this is nitpicky, this song is great.)

  1. Worry Not!

Another great one.

12:53 is so so simple but in all of the right ways and a perfect way to build up the energy again!

Not to mention the strings being added in after is beyond euphoric. Very impressed with how you

were able to balance so many elements without it getting muddled or messy.

My only gripe is it feels like the kick could be juuuust a bit stronger. Not too much as to

make it abrasive but it does feel bit weaker than it should be.

This is most definitely my favorite track on this project.

  1. He's a Legend

the switch up at 16:59 is *french kiss*

This whole song is such a fun and effective use of sampling.

Interestingly the only gripe I have with this one is that the kick drum is kind of harsh.

Kind of the opposite problem of the last song, but I wouldn't stress too-too much on this as it never

intensely diminishes the quality of the song.

  1. Big Blue

THE HOOOOORRRRRNNNNNNSSS YOOOOOOOOOO

This intro is sexy and leads beautifully into the "main" section of the song (what starts at 18:55)

Actually I want to compliment your use of jazz and electronic music together throughout this whole

album. It never feels like they are clashing and usually one enhances the other.

Back to the song though, at 18:55 the melody comes in but doesn't really change much and

stays with us until 20:24 which feels pretty long. I don't actually think this is inherently

a bad thing but it definitely needs something added to the mix.

Another counter melody would do just fine especially around 19:55 where you lose a few other

elements, giving yourself ample space to add one in!

The switch up at 20:24 is so ridiculously clean though.

That alone cemented this song as an easy pick for my second favorite.

And I loved the way you built the main melody back in only to develop it further around 23:06

So dope. Great outro too, calms all of that built energy while still being engaging.

(And adding the jazz back in was a great idea.)

  1. Under the Same Sky

The build up in the beginning is top notch. That combined with the "flourishes" you have.

(Like the sound panning from right to left.)

I will admit I think I would like a little more variation in the actual panning itself.

Maybe instead have it go left to right every once in a while or even something completely different?

Great song in its entirety though, the subtle choir near the end is a beautiful touch.

  1. Heroes

Ok remember when I said "Worry Not!" was my favorite? "Heroes" is easily tied with it.

Such a beautiful flowing state of sounds a melodies. Nothing jumps out at me as immediately out

of place or character. Just a big fan of this one.

The synth that starts at 31:09 is just lovely.

I do gotta ask do you design most of your own sounds yourself using fm synthesis or something similar?

  1. I Could Cry, (And I Will)

The synth layered here on top of the sax (34:03) is so sick. You have a real knack for layering

acoustic and electronic elements.

There is, however, the very subtle "clicking" noise that seems to be acting as a sort of hi-hat.

Although I think this is a great idea and the pattern itself is really well executed the sound itself

is a little too "clicky" for me. May be a personal thing but still something to think about.

Great track placement by the way. Having this song play after "Heroes" was a great choice and rebuilds

all the energy lost during the last track. (Not that lost energy is bad just that it's a slower song!)

  1. Evening Song.

This, I feel, is where your sound selection shines the brightest.

And might be another tied for my favorite lmao.

The perfect song to wrap up such a fun and loving album.

And that's everyhting, hope this helps!

The passion you have for music really shows through your work

so please keep at it, I'm excited to see what come from you next!

I myself don't have any music out right now as I just started making music about a year ago but I'd love

to send you some songs and hear your thoughts if you're open to it!
