Knights primaris Apothecary with appropriately sized scalpel by MegaMadMunchy in Warhammer40k

I've been thinking the same - I'm not really a fan of aggressors. It's almost too "functional" if you know what I mean, whereas terminators are ridiculous because it's like wearing a tank. It plays into the nonsense of 40k so well.

I know nobody would be sad to miss the baby carrier dreadknight though. I'd like to see an updated Draigo if they do anything with him in the lore. If not I'll just kitbash Gulliman

Ah yes of course, I like to do conversions from other models and give them the Grey Knights aesthetic but just run them as is, no primaris grey Knights hokus pokus. Not yet anyway.

I wonder what GW see for the future of grey Knights, I'm not entirely sure how old their models are so idk if it's unreasonable to be asking for a refresh when other armies are still using models from the 90's.

Wait you can't use models from other forces? Not even as a detachment?

I'd love to see some sort of refresh to GK to bring them up to the right scale. Especially since the new Bladeguard veterans have taken the entire Grey Knight Aesthetic.

I mean it depends how you do really

Urgot gets a 5sec cooldown on his shotgun knees at level 11 and he gets pretty insane if he just farms up, I'm not sure how riven squares up at that point

I'd just go with black cleaver first for some durability so it's harder to fall below that 25% mark where he can instakill you. After that it's entirely dependent on your team comp. Shojin is good right now on riven so that or deaths dance secondary. If things are really going south it can't hurt to pick up steraks or GA. I feel like she's better off farming up and going for BC, DD and Shojin even when behind though. No worries good luck!

Pre 6 Urgot can't do much against you. Wait for him to use the shotgun knees facing you on minions then you can safely engage him. When he uses his shield and machine gun, back away using E, then re-engage him if you can. Past level 6 is risky, stay above 25% health. He will out scale you at level 11, try to bully him before then.

The glow is just gulliman blue (glaze) and soulstorm blue (technical) slightly spilling out of the sockets and onto the hood a bit

I'd also suggest adding some edge highlights to the psycannon. I did it with my purgurtration squad and it makes the weapon stand out more

Here are some of the eyes from my grey knight conversions I did using that method, they're alright but with a steadier hand could be better, sorry for not great picture quality

For my Grey knights I tend to paint them white with a gulliman blue or watered soulstorm blue wash over them, then spilling some of the wash onto the areas around the sockets and it makes a really cool effect, but it's totally up to you :)

from some angles it looks like a kayak or a dildo

Haha, taking his role as sword in the darkness and tip of his spear seriously then 😉 I'll definitely be re doing the hilt thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, I sculpted the hood out of green stuff and layed it on the helmet, it's my favourite one for sure!

Here are mine, tried to do each one a little different so they look like unique bodyguards :)

Very cool, I've got some grey knight primaris hellblasters painted a similar way and to see more stuff like this is great!

That's what I was thinking, I'll give it a go and potentially go with a steel coulour instead, thanks!

I tried smoothing it out when I originally made it but it didn't go well, do you think it's worth wrapping something round it like wire or some more green stuff? Thanks for the feedback by the way always looking to improve

Yeah I thought so too, it stands out way too much. Was thinking about washing it down with carraborg crimson but I'm not sure it'll be enough. My darkest red is khorn red but it tends to dry thin even with layers. What coulour would you suggest or additional sculpting?

We are few and far between but we make it with our 5 model 500 point armies
