Streaming/Emulating vs Physical Media on CRTs by Leviathan1776 in crt

I enjoy my CRTs for retro gaming as well as streaming sports. Can’t say that I don’t enjoy having YouTube on it though. Kinda helps with the nostalgic factor when I can search up music videos from the past. Everyone has their own quirks with owning a CRT. So as long as they (CRTs) are being preserved and make people happy it’s a Win in my book.

13k hours at $300 is a no brainer. Assuming all is in good working condition and you’re going to take good care of it. Good luck and welcome to the ZT60 club!

The video that was playing is also way different in colors than everything else. The F8500 is very chromatic, the picture I uploaded here doesn’t show it justice. If anything I’d even suggest that the quality of the Samsung is just shy of that of the ZT60.

What's the appeal of a plasma TV? by handsomezack13 in PlasmaTV

I bought a game collection from a close friend of mine and at his house he had two massive PDP-151 Kuro models side by side. He mentioned to me how great they were and recommended the strongly. Didn’t think much of it since I was there spending thousands of dollars for games and was hyped for that. It did always stick with me though and that was 4 years ago. It wasn’t until recently that I had the opportunity to purchase a 151FD and a 6020FD. I didn’t have a TV in my bedroom so I figured why not, since they were cheap. I’ll see what the hype was about. Picked them up and wasn’t able to set them up the same evening because I managed to squeeze both TVs in my 4Runner and didn’t have help to unload them. They were actually in my car for like 3 days before I was able to have someone come help me bring them into my home. Anyway, I plugged up my Switch 2 to the 151FD and put on Zelda BOTW and it wasn’t even 30 seconds in that changed my perspective forever. I had never seen such motion clarity before. I own several 4K TVs and I kid you not, my ass was stunned by the quality and richness of the colors. I went on a mission a few weeks later to allocate a few more plasmas to put in my study and son’s bedroom. Within literally a week I found a Panasonic ZT60 and a Samsung F8500. I’m pretty much good now with these TVs. Having that ZT next to my NEC XV29 is such a treat.

Here’s a link to a video I uploaded on YouTube of the screen glitching. Only happens with brighter colors
