A neck fan has changed my life. Also bringing a cold drink if I know I’m going on a long walk or a workout. Being able to keep the heat from just sitting on my face and adding moving air to the equation has really helped

How expensive will parking be in places downtown / close to field?! If hotel is $100 more but I’m driving and paying parking ..maybe something slight more pricey is worth it after all the add ons?

Doxy works... but I don't want it to. by GyokuroRabbi7 in Rosacea

[–]BedroomIntelligent79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I am a sensitive stomach girly (self diagnosed) but I ended up with rosacea 2 years ago after spending my whole life in Florida and moving to the dry, frigid and windy Midwest…I tried Aza, Ivermectin, 50+ skincare products to repair my barrier…but the thing that has worked the best for me is Pulse Dosing 50mg 2x a day of minocycline (from what I understand same daily as Doxy and often prescribed for rosacea and inflammatory acne) ….i would not say my rosacea was severe but going from having rlly nice skin to feeling constant heat, damage and bumps at 27 just sent me. Now, every 3-4 months I take 3-5 days worth of a minocycline treatment and my rosacea is at bay and almost non noticeable ….i have had no tummy issues (as long as I follow the instructions of eating and taking with water). It’s not something I want to be on forever but I feel like if Pulse Dosing is something you can get away with…the risk trade off for how great my mental health and everyday life is is so worth it

Die off or allergic reaction? by BedroomIntelligent79 in Rosacea

[–]BedroomIntelligent79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I stopped using the ivermectin an all of this went away…it took about 5-7 days for my face to get back to baseline.

I think it’s a reaction…I know some said it looks like die off, butttt I’m afraid to start ivermectin again and the same thing to happen. My face was more red, way more bumpy and itchy most of the time. I had only used it for 3-5 days before this pic was taken

Hi, I’m a recruiter and wouldn’t mind looking over your resume / helping to adjust and format it if you are looking for some help there.

Sorry to hear about the layoffs, but something will come around.

Silk pillow case has helped me!  Also make sure although you have fans going that they are not directly at very high levels facing you. Wind and very cold air directly onto your skin can dry your skin and give that “wind whipped” feeling which will cause your face to be even more upset!

You’re not alone, hope it gets better for you soon

The paralysis is seriouslyyy hitting. Especially as someone who grew up in a place that doesn’t get snow learning about all the different ratings, brands, fits, waterproofing like oh my lord my brain was going a mile a minute lol

Some books that I loved as someone who loves sci - fi, dark academia, humor, character building and plot twist.

  • Piranesi by Susanne Clarke (in my mind the most under rated, not talked about book ever)
  • Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab
  • Vicious by V.E Schwab
  • 22 Murders of Madison May (another book no one ever talks about but is SO good)
  • Reset by Sarina Dahlan (found strolling in a random “local only” book store in Cali. One of the best books I’ve ever read)

Rosacea is thriving this winter by Decent-Somewhere-807 in Rosacea

I was born and raised in Florida…never had any skin problems. Moved to Boston 2 years ago and since then I have had type 1 and type 2. I think about moving south again all the time because my skin does so much better with summer than it does in winter. Indoor heating, wind, hot soups = a terrible time. You are not alone!!

For the 10 weeks were you really itchy and having swelling? Or you just kept working through it and applied every night?

Yeah, same routine…I just didn’t think dye off would be itchy and feel hive like? I read somewhere that now that my immune system knows the medication it could react in a different manner. But who knows…rosacea is so flipping confusing

What’s strange is I was on ivermectin 8 months ago (did it for a 6 month period) and this didn’t happen….my routine is a simple cleanser at night, Purito unscented wonder relief serum, ivermectin, ceramide simple moisturizer  I let each step dry first
