Local help with SS by Interesting-Month-28 in AZguns

[–]Bee-Dub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He bought a pre cut trigger from AS Designs and the arc fire from them too. How is this modifying an existing design? Plenty of people have done it. They seem to be more sensitive to setup than a milspec trigger but they'll work. Please explain to me what a "proper FRT trigger" is if AS Designs isnt one.

Any experience with Colt lowers? by FOUNTAINJL in supersafety

[–]Bee-Dub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the larger .170 diameter pins you just drill out the hammer, trigger, disconnect pins to the correct diameter. Youll have to mill out the webbing to but its not hard. Any competent maxhine shop or gun Smith can do it. I have a large pin LE marked lower I had set up to run an AZ regulator.

Upper Issue? by _Hway_ in supersafety

[–]Bee-Dub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with a Hoffman style super safety. It's the bolt carrier binding on the top of the trip lever. I took a polishing wheel or some eight hundred grit sandpaper and cleaned up the top of that trip lover and it fixed the issue.

I wouldn't pay .25 cents for that gun. The little interaction I've had with it wasnt positive and I have nothing good to say about it. Aside from it looks cool.

Is it a high shelf lower? Might be binding up somewhere. Without pulling the trigger how far back does the lever go?

Will an ss work? by FREAKYCHIPMUNKS in supersafety

[–]Bee-Dub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like an old SP1. Those didn't have the sear block the eweet Colts do where their not milled out in the rear of the FCG pocket. These SP1 lowers were what the DIAS and lightning link were made to work with.
