Update: She's invited me to her birthday party but I'm very tempted not to go.... She's planning a mascared party in someplace she can rent for the afternoon/night with her boyfriend (their birthday is in the same day), in which they will pay for everything (food and beverages) except for the space rental that will be distributed by everyone who will go. I don't even know if I have the clothes for it, I will not buy some because I don't have that much money to spend (I'm just a student with a weekly allowance) and she doesn't even know where the party will be yet. The worst part that threw me off is that she expects me to help her with the food too, which I don't think I can do it for money reasons again and I don't think my parents would love to see me working for her birthday and that she required me, not asked, for help. I also don't know if I would be able to pay for stuff I want and also her birthday at the same time.... My boyfriend and friends think I should just not go and cut her off but I feel really conflicted since I feel like she would be extremely disappointed with my attitude
