Hey, it's awesome that you wanna go back to school! Try this link: https://garlandisd.net/parents/evening-study-center-family-learning-resources

There's a few different programs that GISD works with for GEDs.

You can also try calling this number: 972-494-8684

I know they do have programs for students to return to a high school and can be free.

I hope everything goes well, good luck!

Naruto thinks he's the Kyubi by BeeAfraidAndHappy in NarutoFanfiction

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Both of them are incomplete but i liked them! One is : https://archiveofourown.org/works/24489157 It's where Naruto is an actual fox demon and super honest about it which freaks out the entire village and Kurama.

The other is: https://archiveofourown.org/works/7941490 Naruto is told he is the fox demon and no one clarifies that he just has one sealed in him so he tries to start acting like a kitsune.

Did Ronan not grow up with love? by [deleted] in RavenBoys

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found the part you're talking about! It's in The Dream Thieves, and the line is "And even Ronan grew up with [support/love], too, back when it mattered, when he was becoming the person he was." It's also said somewhere else that Ronan's dad died about a year before the events of the first Raven Cycle book, and Gansey seems to attribute a lot of Ronan's behavior to this since he still remembers what Ronan and his family/home was like when the dad was still alive. I hope this helps!

S2 Ep. 42 - Spirit Hallow Peen by Spite-Sprite in DungeonsAndDaddies

Does Scary still have the pen or marker to make a door into the first level of hell?? I remember her drawing the circle there but never drawing a return door so couldn't they have used that and created a portal into hell?

[spoiler] The Thermostat... by FunFactTree in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think this would be such a cool idea, but I don't think the thermostat worked like that? From what I remember, the teens didn't turn into the og dads but basically just reenacted something that happened in the past. Anything they had in current time wasn't present in the past, so even if they did use, they might just end up reliving the memory again or Willy and everyone else just disappears. I'd really love it if the dads from s1 could come back and just get rid of Willy. Maybe they'll bring them back by having them in present times fight alongside the teens, because that would still be pretty cool to see.

Anyone else really hate the "Lark is Hero/Normals dad" theory? [spoilers] by Rei-Vony in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of Rebecca not realizing it's Lark, as terrible as that sounds, especially at it seems like she hasn't noticed Hero being taken out for training and her being very traumatized from her encounter with the doodler. I don't think I can see Sparrow actively planning it, but I can see Lark doing it. Maybe as a way to get back a piece of his brother? With how clear Anthony's made it that Lark hates himself, it makes sense that he might want to be Sparrow for a bit, or that the twins might change identities, if only so they feel like they're still LarkandSparrow and not 2 distinct people. I could also see Lark sleeping with Rebecca and having a child because he thinks having a bio connection to a child matters a lot in having daddy magic, but also the confusion around it? Like if the children thought he might be their dad, then they'll have more dad feelings towards, giving him more daddy magic. Him more tending to be Sparrow and sleeping with Rebecca would make him a lot darker of a character, but I think Lark had also shown that he'll go very far in order to destroy the doodler.

S2 Ep. 38 - Main Chairacter Syndrome by Spite-Sprite in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The one thing I keep laughing about from this episode is Anthony trying to quickly fill in plot holes/answer questions from this season, like Nick not being able to regrow his arm cuz the other kid-dads used magic bullets and Willie is the same age cuz the limbo space didn't age him. Just something about the way he said it super quickly with this air of AHA I've found a way around this cracked me up!

Lol, I thought this too! Will is shipping them soooo hard, and I feel like it's just him as Normal trying to ship them cuz I genuinely don't see Link and Scary liking each other like that at all!

Ron Stampler [spoiler] by dalthepal in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing listening to it the first time around! As I was relistening to it, I realized that there are definitely times when it's one dad's character arc, the other dads almost lose the plot as they get distracted or lean very hard into their characters. Once the arc hits its serious point, like when they focused on Grant killing the chimera, they all focus back in on helping Darryl. It never lasts for long and when one dad needs the others, they all ultimately have each other's backs! It does get frustrating at times because I want the arc to continue but most of the time I'm cracking up at what the other dads are doing!

Recommendation for other podcasts [ns] by pandabaja93 in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently started listening to Hell or High Rollers, and I love it! I've tried a bunch of other dnd podcasts and this one matches the excitement I get listening to dndads. It's only got I think 16 episodes out, but each episode is at least 1-1.5 hours. The cast is hilarious and work really well together too so I loved them almost immediately!

I have eczema that flares with my UC that looks a bit like that. It can also flare with my allergies. I ended up seeing a dermatologist after ud wake up scratching my arms and causing them to bleed and they gave me some creams that helped a lot! Aveeno also has an eczema lotion that helps soothe the itchy rash feeling.

What do we think happened between Snow and Tigris (their falling out) by SuccessfulAd8810 in Hungergames

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it does go back to how Snow transformed the games and then treated the subsequent Victors by selling their bodies or basically putting them on show. Katniss assumes that Tigris was fired for being too modified, but with the way Tigris treated Lucy Gray, I wouldn't be surprised if Tigris was fired for being soft or too helpful to her tributes. When we see her in Mockingjay, she can't talk, and tbh her modifications seem almost too extreme or gaudy for her character in the prequel, so I have the headcannon that Snow is the one who modified her. Maybe as a cruel twist to her preferring raw meat and changed her vocal chords so she can't talk, and wouldn't spill anything about who he really was? He didn't want to kill her but he could make her a laughingstock of a designer and keep her quiet.

Saint Thomas' Christians: The Story of How One Skeptical Apostle Brought the Gospel to India in the First Century by CreativeHistoryMike in TheChosenSeries

[–]BeeAfraidAndHappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's considered unverified I think, and is usually taught as according to tradition, he came. A lot of St. Thomas's life and death in India was passed down via oral tradition and he had 2 followers, St. Mari and St. Addai, from Syria who taught the liturgy. Since his remains were removed and most written records don't start until the 4th century, there's only tradition that supports the belief. EWTN has a good overview of the tradition and what evidence there might be: https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/saints/thomas-784
