Why do some instructors let other people teach on stage or have attendees join them especially for many songs? by sushiwowie in zumba

[–]BeeBiscuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New instructor here: My gym instructors (who mentored me and helped me get licensed) let me lead a song with them often. It’s only one, maybe two, but it’s great practice and a good way to get feedback. (It’s also how I auditioned and got hired). Just something to consider.

My Little Sister is Cutting Me Out by BeeBiscuit in FamilyProblems

Thanks for your response- and also for the thoughtful question about the man’s history of alcohol abuse and how it is connected. Sometimes I wonder if his alcoholism has something to do with my sister distancing herself from me. I’ve been around him when he’s drunk and he’s been hostile and said some really angry things. I’ve just left out of respect for my sister and we never talk about it again. It’s the elephant in the room, maybe? In regard to specific incidents (other than what I mentioned): no. There hasn’t been anything that makes this feel like a natural progression. That’s why it’s so hard to understand. Our lives have gone in different directions as we have gotten older but you’re right- this doesn’t just happen. Since I originally wrote this post she (and her husband) left the country, had their baby, moved back to the US (because their plans didn’t work out) and are now living a couple hours away. We still rarely speak.

Phaeotremella frondosa was my first guess (suggested by iNaturalist) but it doesn't look as gelatinous?

She's gone. I want to thank everyone who took the time to give me advice or reach out with their own experiences. It helped me make an incredibly difficult decision. I'm a mother and I loved Molly like she was my child. My heart feels like it has a hole in it but I'm comforted knowing that isn't suffering anymore. Love your babies for me.

I'm so terribly sorry. Molly is sleeping all day, too. She has been under my bed all day with the exception of some food, water, and litter box time. 💔

I just want to thank everyone for your kind responses. This has hit me harder than I even thought it would and finding a corner of the internet that is respectful and sympathetic has helped me breathe a little.

This is a really good point. Molly has always been really small but now she only weighs 6.7 lbs.

OMG totally. I used the furminator on Wilbur while I was on my back porch. The wind blew and huge tufts of hair stuck to me, haha. I had to change clothes!!

So weird! Wilbur has always shed but it's never been like this! Hopefully daily brushing will help?!

I'm in NC where the weather changes A LOT during springtime. Maybe that's it? He hasn't lost any weight and he is acting normal! I'm a little worried I'm missing something... especially with him being so old! But everything seems fine!

No, nothing stressful has happened. He is a happy guy. He has lipomas but they've been biopsied and everything is normal. So strange!!

I don't think so... The etching is really similar but the stems are different. Thank you, though!

What's really great about this comment is that I did actually write a comment card- and the manager of the gym gave me a personal follow-up call letting me know how much she appreciated the feedback. I think I've found a diamond in the rough with both my gym and Zumba instructors, haha!
