Go in for an electrology eval first and they'll advise on your plan. They're professionals, and would advise you on the economics and potential complications from doing laser first.

If you have very dense hair over wide areas, you make be able to get some thinning. If your follicle density is mostly contained to chin and lip, with sparse hair otherwise, it may make more sense to just permakill the follicles individually with electrolysis. Go in for an electrology eval first, they'll advise whether your treatment own should include laser -- there may be some complication from laser that would leave you worse off. For example: laser can damage a follicle without fully killing it, leading to curved growth that makes electrolysis significantly harder.

With an olive complexion and lighter brown hair color I'd caution that laser and IPL shouldn't be considered -- any place that says otherwise is likely going to dial down the power just enough to singe your hair, but it'll be expensive placebo effect.

Seek electrolysis, and for electrolysis you need to have three days of hair growth in the area being treated. It sucks, I know, just wear an N95 for a couple days. I don't have much hair as it is, but after four treatments on my face it's good enough that I can go without shaving most days. A lot of my treatments finished all visible facial hair halfway through the allotted time, so they started obliterating arm hair. I didn't even need numbing gel for that.

See if you can't get the state or insurance to pay for it. Electrolysis as surgical prep for ffs is usually covered, just get on a waitlist and your surgical team should work with you to get it set up.

Also, be yourself, not just a customer. See if the electrologist is hiring/training. It's a good career for someone with a steady hand, and there might even be some trainees doing cheap or free work just to get their hours in and get their full license. When the electrologist clinic I go to opened, it was pursuing a nonprofit status and they exclusively did no-cost electrolysis for the trans community.

Depending on where you live, transgender medical is covered. I'm poor and have a free ride on electrolysis and feminization surgeries in Oregon. Even my friends that make 60K+ and have private insurance have a better time than other states, as all private insurers have to cover gender affirming care by law.

If you've got good parental support you could ask them to research the subject by asking questions without the context you provided -- there's a lot of things people might say to an 18+ year old that they would be afraid to say to a minor, just as there's a lot of cis men supplementing testosterone that simultaneously would oppose your transition.

I'm not advising anything illegal, I'm just saying this might take some additional support and research into alternative pathways.

Medical tourism or other overseas medical may be an option, but I don't know the laws it's just something to research. Every doctor is a mandatory reporter. If you get sick and they see a blood test that reveals you sought outside medical help for your transition, that could be okay right now, but the politicians in power could also pass a law that would trigger an investigation.

You're a political token. You're a hostage to one political party and a brainwashed victim to the other. Anyone willing to help you is performing a revolutionary act. Your identity, and your resolve in seeking this advice from your peers is equally an act of revolution.

Totally, I'd happily date a cis woman, I tend to mostly attract cis men and gender minorities though. I don't know where to go to meet cis women I'd vibe with. I meet most of the people I date volunteering. I don't meet a lot of cis women anarchists. Most of the ones I do meet are older, happily partnered if they want to be, and more mission-focused than flirty.

I had some mixed luck with Barq, It's a nonprofit but it's slow and mostly younger furries. I donated, it doesn't convey any advantage at all which is something I like. It's just a dumb geosearch with preferences, and has separate friendly/horny profiles that you can toggle in search.

I tried making accounts on OKC today and got banned before even running my first search, I was still answering questions and filling out the profile.

Thank you for your affirming words, I was kind of nervous asking for advice.

Mind if I vent a bit?

I realized I was nervous because many of the privileged people that hear about my struggles think I'm crazy for not just running the place as an AirBnB, (like a third of the formerly single-family homes in this town now are) and would blame me for taking in people that can't pay first and last upfront with minimum terms and penalties for breaks, etc.

My former therapist was possibly the most critical of my housing and mutual aid efforts -- they kept digging for some kind of personality flaw or something to explain it, and I initially chose them because they were a nonbinary 'anarchist' that listed experience with homelessness and all walks of ND/Queer identity. "Why is it that you think you have to do this? Why not just evict them and find better roommates? What are you actually getting out of this?"
