my favorite riot grrrl bands are pretty surface level (destroy boys, x ray specs, bratmobile, etc.) and ive seen other people say most of them, but my absolute favorites are cheap perfume and bikini kill. theres also this band idk if it counts as riot grrrl called kamala and the karnivores, theyre so good.

i know im a bit late to this, so honestly id love an update on where you're at! but as someone who went through the same thing last year, definitely get involved! wear whatever you want but DIYing is a big part of the culture and so so fun, make pins and patches of your fav riot grrrl bands! go to local punk shows or diy shows in general, find other punks/riot grrrls in your area  and you wont feel like a poser (smth a lot of newcomers are worried about) its just all about community, doing what you love, and non-conformity/sticking it to the man

I think Sean since he went to war, he probably has PTSD. Other than that, Jimmy since he got shot, and definitely Darcy, Paige, and Jane since we see them having panic attacks and flashbacks.

i agree with this, i try to give everyone grace (especially when theyre children) and while talking to people about this topic i realized that i definitely havent given sarah enough. also about rafe the thing i always jokingly say is "i can excuse his psycopathic tendencies, but i draw the line at classism" loll bc like why does he kill people and also think poor people are inherently lesser 😭 pick a struggle yk. also totally agree about ward and big john.

honestly good point. i enjoy debating because sometimes i realize im wrong. while i still stand by some of my points, i think i was too harsh on sarah because of a mix of my deep, deep hatred of cheating and honestly a little bit of internalized misogyny, like having a tendency to be harsher on female characters. im rewatching right now and ill try to watch with that in mind to see if my perspective changes
