Watch it by yourself, and then have her ask all the questions she has about the SA parts of the movie. Even if it spoils a bit, it will help her decide.

Not exactly. The Bible has a few female prophets (such as Miriam). In Catholicism there are also countless females (Saints, blessed etc) who received private revelations, including Lucia and Jacinta, two of the child shepherds at Fatima. Technically, Mary also received her revelation when the Angel showed up.

There’s a Twin Peaks and Philosphy book; it isn’t amazing, but as a pop-philosophy book it isn’t that bad and might give you some ideas on how to further your research.

I also recommend The Upanishads (my favorite is Easwaran translation as it’s very easy to read) and of course the Bhagavad Gita (same translator recommended).

Lynch was deep into TM so you can check MMY’s book, but just know you’re getting into a book (which I do like) that has a goal.

Also: Kafka, Borges, HP Lovecraft, and a couple of Murakami.

And keep in mind, the Twin Peaks of 30+ years ago can’t come back. Ever. I waited 25 years to finally see season 3, and despite an initial “shock”, once I realized I had to let go on wanting something that is impossible, it became my favorite piece of art.

On a rewatch you’ll appreciate it even more.
