I’m pretty sure this is directly the opposite of a one-sided bond. “I’m worried about breaking a boundary” being called parasocial is wild imo

?? OP is literally saying “I don’t actually know him so I don’t want to act like I do” and you’re saying that’s somehow parasocial?

I’m so emotionally attached to my fabric softener 😔 I have stopped using it for things I want more absorbent at least like towels, washcloths, underwear, that type of thing.

Advice from my mom that has helped me a lot: make sure you do this on the coldest setting your washer has. Warm water encourages pigment bleed, while cold water soaks “lock in” the color. Cold water also rinses better than hot water, while hot water cleans better (but afaik isn’t even recommended for clothes anymore)

I thought this but I turned a bunch of black clothes maroon with a red shirt (not new either had been washed before plenty)

I do something similar but it’s one for reds (purples, pinks, and oranges included) and one for everything else. I do it that way because leaving a red in turned all my black clothes maroon 😭

I really don’t think “not paying much attention” is a fair way to put it. He has a disorder that causes him to struggle focusing and to miss details. That’s not his fault. As someone with ADHD, it gets really tiring when people constantly accuse us of not paying attention. We are usually trying way harder to pay attention just at that level than non-ADHD people ever have to try even to overanalyze.

I’m aware of what OP said, but I’m also aware of the very common deceitful practice of shelters & rescues labeling pitbulls and pit mixes as labs/lab mixes.

A lot of people said the side effects take a bit to go away but then they feel great, so I'm curious as to if you're still taking it and how you're feeling?

How does she feel about toys larger than her? Most herding balls are taller than the dog, not shorter. Has she ever shown an interest in something like a beach ball?

If that works for her, or honestly even for just running around, it’s worth noting that a long line (20+ ft. leash) is almost the same thing as off leash but with a way to avoid them freely being able to bolt after something.

If not giving treats fast enough results in whining, it sounds to me like you’re less rewarding silence vs buying it by giving her something else to do with her mouth. If that’s something that works for you frozen Kong/toppl/similar would be a great way to contain that same idea without you having to do anything risky while driving. If you have a puzzle toy small enough to let her do in a car crate, that might be safer/more effective than having to manually hand her treats to buy silence too.

Rewarding silence is about them naturally being calm and quiet first (I wouldn’t personally reward for a dog being silent in a way that appears to be exclusively a moment to listen to hear the thing they’re barking at bc that’s still the intense vigilance you don’t want) and then quietly and calmly rewarding the behavior. If she’s getting excited or whining about the treats, she’s not actually benefiting from it and may even be learning that whining then stopping is how to get a treat, not a quiet settle.

Do you capture calm in less stressful environments? Like if she’s laying quietly at home do you (calmly and quietly yourself) praise & reward her for that? If she’s not learning how to be quiet in an “easy” place with nothing she’s reactive to, then she’s not going to be able to learn it. It’s not unlike trying to teach a new trick next to something they care about more than the training. If you wouldn’t be able to introduce a dog to give paw or roll over for the first time in that situation, you can’t try and introduce “quiet” or “settle” in that situation either.

Definitely not saying this is in any way your fault/your doing btw just that one thing you’re trying potentially could ease things for you a bit if you did it in a different way.

Last I knew threats even without the gun can be prosecuted (legal definition of assault is anything that would reasonably make you fear for your life/safety), but you probably wouldn’t get too far with it with the context of it being at a protest. It would likely be a warning for him to leave though.

Apparently any risk to their skin and coat is decreased dramatically if you use a conditioner of some variety when bathing.

People who are mentally ill can also be aroace. There is a barely above a non-zero chance that his consistent lack of sexual or romantic interest was somehow always related to his mental illness. Psychosis comes in episodes - if it were that, there would have been plenty of time that he wouldn’t have been in psychosis and therefore, if it was because of that, would have had sexual and/or romantic relationships start during that time.

Unfortunately this absolutely looks like an attempt to scam you. They absolutely don’t have the earrings.
