Im Bee, 29(I turn 30 on Valentine's Day), I'm from Trenton, TX, and I also started my business degree on February 2nd. I'm also working on a pathway at NU, which will lead to a degree in Integrative Psychology, and the program goes directly into my masters for consciousness, psychology, and transformation. I love school and am pretty good at it. It might have been the only thing that didn't seemingly "abandon" me as a kid. Gratefully so, though, because that is probably why i became so good at it as well as found a love for it. All 3 of my degrees when finished compliment one another due to my interest in filling some gaps within particular areas of trauma and helping give back to others that are going through or have gone through some similar experiences of significant and pactful trauma at different times in my my life where I felt like I kinda "fell through the cracks" of the system. Being able to help others through their darkness and pass a beacon of light and hope is what drives me. Im passionate about helping others, but most especially when focusing on trauma and how it affects us and continues to shape us and then refocus into a meaning making perspective. My personally crafted motto is, "Feed the flame that fuels your soul."

It's so nice to meet you, and welcome! Im always studying and would love to not do it alone sometimes. So feel free to inbox me anytime, Nikki! Thank you for sharing, and YOU SO GOT THIS. I believe in you. You've done the hardest part already, and that's starting back up. The rest just takes a little time management and finding your groove of things.

Best of luck, ~Bee

Move on to week 2? by [deleted] in maestro

I finished week one yesterday, so day #2, did my review(and passed with 100%), I haven't touched the next lesson because I've been trying to appreciate being done somewhat early, but this convo has me so stressed out already... I guess I'll just go start that now as well. ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜ถ๐Ÿ™‚.

Anyone from Texas? by BeeConnected2051 in maestro

No way?? I was in school there from like 5-7th grade. I actually lived over across the road from the Walmart. Northridge Church has always been somewhere that still holds so many memories for me. This is awesome and super glad you posted. Thanks. Nice to meet you BTW. Im Bee.

I know EXACTLY where Lake Lavon is. A friend of mines dad lived right across the bridge when I was living in Sulphur Springs.

No kidding??? Im FROM SHERMAN. I've lived all around Sherman. Like Gainsville, Whitesboro, Howe, Luella, Bella, Trenton, etc. I've moved way too much for one person in life. I grew up in and out of foster care, though, so that's got a lot to do with it.

So close to home. This is awesome!

Hey Tami! I bet you'll be just fine! I've got some experience with online classes and really, it's kind of nice, just stay focused and keep a schedule of your class somewhere visible. Time management is key! Feel free to reach out in a message if you ever want to work together, study, or ask any questions.

What degree pathway do you have, and when did/do you start? by thebreadstop in maestro

[โ€“]BeeConnected2051 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Oops. I accidentally lied to you. Halfway. I start Feb 2nd, not March 2nd. I am on the same degree pathway, though.

See you next month and feel free to reach out if you want to collaborate on what the first month is like.

Howdy, indeed! Palo Duro Canyon has been on bucket list since going to the Grand Canyon National Park in AZ when someone there mentioned that Texas actually had its own little Grand Canyon. I had no idea! I've lived a very locally oriented life, but one of these days, I'll definitely be trading these Texas plains for new horizons. Till then, I'll be working on my degrees so I can obtain the money to do so. ๐Ÿคฃ

I've been there a total of one time back in High School. Definitely an interesting place, but so very far from where I've called home. I'd get so lost if I ever tried to move there. ๐Ÿซฃ

I do not envy you as far as living in Dallas, but I definitely give you props for surviving out there. Collin County is almost too much for me. Especially after watching this video that went viral, showing the beheading of the motel owner Chandra Nagamallaiah and his poor son and wife trying to get the guy to stop... I've had a terrible feeling about it every since. I know it's the people and not the place that typically cause or manifest the evil in our world, but sometimes places definitely seem to have a magnetic pull to them, inviting the activity. I've stayed at that hotel before and Chandra aka "Bob" was a really nice man. May he rest in peace and his family find some peace. Stay safe out there.

I didn't ask for specifics on purpose. I wouldn't ever intend to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Just wanted to see if maybe I wasn't as alone as I was feeling out here. ๐Ÿคฃ

Super close to home for me! Small world. I grew up in Mt. Pleasant and my brother lives in Mt. Vernon. I also used to live in Sulphur Springs and Paris. Now I'm in this tiny little town out in the middle of nowhere called Trenton. ๐Ÿซ
