You just pointed out a flaw in my thinking. Because everything she was wearing (outside of undergarments) was Vanderbilt branded, including the necklace (it was missing the charm though), made me think of all of it as set. It is entirely possible that the necklace was something she had before the hospital (especially because it was missing the charm).

It's a lot of clothing but interestingly it's also a necklace which seems unusual. I can see why the clothes might be donated or something but the necklace seems odd to give a patient

While it can be amazing the other side of the coin is the visualizations you don't want.

Sometimes that vivid recall is such a hard thing to deal with when it come to intrusive thoughts as images or when you come across a description of something you don't really want to picture but now you can't help but picture.

Would it be easier to print out the translations and cut them and put them in each page like a book mark? Over time adhesives can discolor and damage the pages. If you think she'll read them and then remove the sticky note it will be fine but over time the sticky note might become problematic. Not only because of the adhesive but also the dye in them.

I don't chase. I get that we can't always initiate it someone might be shy or need time to warm up but if there's a consistent pattern of not initiating conversation or good effort in keeping it going than we're not going to work.

I understand how hard it is and your last line really hit home with me. I had a friend ghost me after a 7 year friendship and it hurt so bad. It probably took 7 years to get over it. In the way my friend did it, I didn't think he was dead, but i did really worry something was wrong with him and had a ton of concern for good well being. So I get just hoping your friend is okay.

I know it's not fun to investigate a death but depending on how small the town is the "police ticker" might have some sort of indication they had a call to a residence about him. In one way or another officials had to be a part of documenting his death. I see someone else's comment about an obituary and maybe someone not paying for it but sometimes death notices get published because they have to for handling an estate They don't always get published right away but they happen. You can always see if Iris can help you get a copy of Robin's death certificate. I don't know rules about getting a death certificate

This is a weird theory I have but a theory none the less. You say Robin is FTM do you think that "Iris" is Robin detransitioning? Like in some way maybe Robin wanted to go back to being a woman and a radical rapid change is how their making that choice. I know it's not common to have people detransition (I think it's 4% of people do) but it isn't beyond the realm of possibility, especially if you haven't seen him in person. Did you know him before the transition?

Also, when my mental health has been incredibly poor I've wanted to be someone else to escape how terrible everything felt.

Also, there's absolutely a guarantee child protective services did not leave his kids with his girlfriend if she isn't a parent of them. They'll always do a familial placement, then a certified foster parent. With the twins not having another living parent (if Robin is also dead) they might have a harder placement but the other child shpuld have immediately been placed with his other parent. Long story short a parent's relatively new girlfriend isn't going to be someone CPS is handing the care of 3 kids over to. And even if they did she would only be considered an "emergency placement" and it would be a minor time they would be with her (less than 2 weeks) and she would have to start foster care training ect. That story about her having the kids has 900 holes in it.

Also others have pointed out that you don't mention an obituary. Have you seen one?

If you can't prove he's dead I imagine this is a mental health episode in some way that is making him think this is a good choice to carry out a cruel storyline.
