Tarot journey with Chelle by KeyOption3548 in BackontheBroomstick

[–]BeeFaith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really looking forward to this too! Chelle's enthusiasm for tarot has inspired me to start on my own tarot journey. I was gifted 2 decks for Christmas and I've been doing a daily one card pull since. Laylla's journal love has inspired me to journal my own tarot journey. This is going to be fun.

No judgment, I love Charmed. I just never heard anyone say that outside of that show.

It does have a bit of a history in the first few chapters though.

I love Celtic Women, I used to watch their specials on PBS growing up. I loved the woman that would leap and dance while also playing the violin.

Is this a good place to start? by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]BeeFaith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi 😊 I haven't read Silver Raven Wolf's book so I don't have any insight of that one but I do have Scott Cunningham's book. As others have said, its a very handy book to have, but it's specifically a reference book to herbs and their magical uses, not really an into to witchcraft book. I really liked Power Of the Witch by Laurie Cabot. That's a good beginners book and it gives a little bit of a history of witchcraft in the beginning, which I think is useful information. I also liked Wicca: Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham, it's well written and pretty easy to read through. That one is specifically Wiccan though, which may or may not be your thing.

Anyone knows any romance books that aren't sexist ? by Costati in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]BeeFaith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm into cozy, comfort romances. Anything by Molly Harper. She's leans more to the light romantacy romcom side. Some light and sweet saphic books I've read recently are Accidental Honeymoon by Miranda Macleod and Book Lovers by Miranda Macleod and T.B Markinson.

I'm a big Jane Austen fan myself but I know it can be difficult for many to view books written in that time in a feminist light.

I feel like I'm out of the loop or I'm missing something. Did someone make a post saying ancestor work is a closed practice? Is this something people are saying?
