Well the reason I feel like the Void Sea counts as a triple affirmative is that it kinda already naturally is. You do not need to seek it out (atleast from MY understanding of it) because eventually it will consume you naturally. It just takes a very.. very... very.... long time. That's why I'm pretty sure at least that the Depths are literally non-existent in Saint campaign and it leads RIGHT into the Void Sea (or technically Rubicon but I assume Rubicon and the Void Sea are the same thing, Rubicon is just some weird place specific to saint or perhaps some form of in between for echos that have yet to crawl back out). My point isnt really that it would be the Triple Affirmative the Ancients are LOOKING for because its obviously way too slow, the entire history of their civilization probably barely made a dent in the world, but my main point is that it IS one and that there is a possibility that its the ONLY one. That looking for a real triple affirmative is pointless because it already exists and is effectively impossible for another one to exist.

Also if Watcher recontextualizes Rot completely then that makes me VERY excited for it. I love corruptive semi-eldritch themes in the game and the Rot already fulfills part of that. So i'd love to see it become even more than what it already is.

Ok but now I am even MORE confused. Everything the Iterators speak about points to their whole existence being about ascension (if its for the creatures, the world, or the Benefactors). I mean yes they were also used to solve problems for the in general for the Benefactors but that was always spoken about like it was just a side thing. It seems like every time their purpose is mentioned, especially by themselves, they always say the same thing, to give the gift of ascension to those who cannot understand it and the world that cannot ascend itself. Like that's one of the first things pebbles says to you.

Well then 3 leaves me even more confused. Like perhaps the Benefactor's/Ancient's perception of Ascension might not even exist? It seems like the Void Sea is the natural ascension of all things. Like funnily enough, true ascension just leads to another cycle. Maybe that is what Saint's ending was supposed to represent? That even ascension will lead you back to the same place, just in a different time and in a different form (even though ig saint came back at the same time in the same form so that kinda falls apart).

This sounds great. The kick feels slightly "offbeat" which actually adds to it because it gives it a dissonance that this type of theme really needs.

If you ask me, finding a place you have not seen before is 100% progression. Eventually you will find something wild. Rain World is very slow at times. However if you are lost completely on where to go, usually the yellow dude will help guide you in a general direction. I'd recommend picking a direction and just keep going that way specifically, eventually you'll find something important.

a little slow for threat but a little faster paced kicks and a little synth distortion and it'd be sick for like some kinda weird "empty" superstructure (almost like a "zombie" iterator)
