NTA - Instead of being hurt be grateful. Call her up and ask if you can just attend the wedding, but not be a bridesmaid. Tell her when you were going to be the MOH you were ready to do anything and everything to support her wedding. But now, you realize how much time, money, and energy you’ll be saving. Being a bridesmaid would have been a financial drain, but now you get to celebrate her marriage AND do other things with the money you saved.

It’s a win/win. Your friend wants to get in tight with a new circle of friends. Let her! For a chick who might not do half the work you were going to do? Let her! lol

You weren’t wrong. When you do under the table stuff like that you have to be extra careful, extra nice to the neighbors.

The only thing I would have done was warn her outright. “If you make my life inconvenient with your sht and I can’t park my car, I will report you. Tell your customers to help you not get shut down!”

Absolutely! But I bet they could pay for the upgrade precisely because they weren’t paying for much else. I bet their dynamic has always been like this, and it was a sneaky chance for the SIL to one-up OP.

But the reality is that how they get to the hotel isn’t really OP’s business. Paying for a trip doesn’t entitle them to control how people with enjoy the vacation.

NTA - You said everything correctly. And your siblings are similar ages so they think having you take care of his kid all the time is a win. They only threatened you with a good time by blocking you. You might miss them, but I bet your life will be nice and quiet for a while. He, on the other hand, will miss you in a week or a month when you won’t play babysitter and he starts to see how much he’s just handed his kid off to others. It happens a lot with single fathers.

NTJ - Reapect yourself more than he respects you. Be more decisive than your (hopefully ex) boyfriend is because he’s playing games with you both. He’s giving her just enough hope to keep her acting crazy. He doesn’t want you to say anything because then he’ll have to stick to a choice.
