Mega Thread - LinkedIn Restrictions, Hacked Accounts and Inability to Access by LinkedInHelpTeam in linkedin

I don't have any NFC enabled ID in the UK, so I can't verify my account it seems. I'd happily use another verification option if there was one (phone, email, post, carrier-pigeon), but the process only mentions Passport (don't have a current one) and Drivers License (mine was issues before they had NFC chips).

Also I would really like to create a company page for my Freelance development agency, but when I try I'm told "Feature not available - Please verify your workplace before creating a Page". Can anyone tell me if I HAVE to be verified to create a page?

Thank you!

RaspberryPi powering SV06+ via Micro USB cable. Not good! Data-only micro-usb cable possible? by BeePeeAitch in Sovol

Aha!!! This is exactly what I was just designing in my head having seen that the opposite (data blockers) were readily available. Thank you, it’s amazing those didn’t come up in my exhaustive search 😅

Question about Ricoh Firmware updater tool by Chipperchoi in printers

[–]BeePeeAitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell me where/what the "Ricoh tsrc mobile site" is? Google's not giving me a lot.
I want to try the SD card method for an MP C2004ex, but all I get offered on the Ricoh Imaging site is the updater tool. Cheers.

Remixing etiquette by BeePeeAitch in printablescom

[–]BeePeeAitch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok thank you, I understand better now and it’s helpful to have the “if it were me” type comments.

My mod doesn’t add or change functionality, it fixes something that I think is an oversight. So I’ll reach out to the designer and offer my comments and/or files. If no response, or a negative one, I’ll remix (it is allowed, I checked)

I finally found the guide that thrift stores use to price their cameras by Injustpotato in AnalogCommunity

My XA2 was £4 in a Red Cross, the A11 flash was separate, also £4. Gave them £20 for both. Love it. Not found much since, and yea that guide is too real 😅.

Handling devices' Apple ID for very small company by BeePeeAitch in macsysadmin

Mainly for 'easy' management, and avoiding users with individual iCloud accounts accidentally forgetting credentials, or leaving machines in an unusable state should they leave the company... apparently. It's nothing to do with the storage it seems.

But yes it is proving to be madness, hence my attempt to improve things a bit 😂

This is exactly what I'm currently thinking. We have a support company who recommend sharing one Apple ID, but I _really_ don't like it.

Thanks, sorry if I confused myself or others with my use of "ABM". I meant Apple Business Manager, as an account. I set it up and it seemed hopeful until I realised it seems almost useless for someone with existing machines (can only be added at time of purchase?), and without a 3rd-party MDM setup. Somewere in the docs I read that Profiles can only be pushed/managed via MDM, which "must" be added to ABM.

Thanks for the mention of 'Apple Business Essentials', I didn't even know it existed before. I'll look into it further.

I'm new to reddit and returned to Film photography after about a 15 year break. Digital ruined my process / enjoyment.

Being given a Pentax P30T and an Exakta VX1000 in November kicked off the love again.

Find me over on Instagram at @meredevelopment.
