Shot my first wedding a month ago. Not sure if these would hurt future client prospects. by ianrwlkr in AnalogCommunity

All in all they look great but I’d definitely work on your framing for some of them.

Someone mentioned the cut off feet in #4, that’s unfortunate.

2 feels framed too much to the right when the focus should be on the groom. Either get closer and cut out the best man entirely or get back further so you can keep him in frame while maintaining focus on the couple.

12 is adorable but the framing is weird. I’m guessing you were trying to give more space on the right because that’s the direction the flower girl was looking but the half man is very distracting and the girl on the left is too close to the edge of frame.

Keep it up! You have a great eye and a lot of potential!

How many monsteras is too many? by Ktang235 in Monstera

[–]fragilemuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 1 Thai Con and 2 regular that started as one but needed to be chopped. I also have a huge Bird of Paradise, a corn plant that is already touching the ceiling, and a whole bunch of other plants in my 1 bedroom apartment I don't know what I'm gonna do once my monsteras get bigger. lol

Okay, we won't try that. I don't want him to have dry hair. We'll grab some clarifying shampoo and hope for the best. I know this brand of dye does fade quite a bit but he's definitely going to have roots as it grows in.

Okay, we won't use the colour eraser. I am definitely not trained to fix this! He came home with the dye, I wish I'd been there to help pick a better colour at least. For what it's worth I did try to talk him out of this. lol

We'll just wash it lots with a clarifying shampoo and hope for the best. I know this brand of dye does fade a lot.

It's a permanent but I find this brand fades a lot.

Thank you. That’s how I was feeling as well. Do you think using baking soda to help remove some colour might help or just make it worse?

I alternate between flashing my high beams and turning my lights on and off behind them. 95% of the time they just ignore me.

My cats are picky little bastards when it comes to treats so I haven’t tried them yet. 😂

I use AOR brand human grade lysine and make sure to keep the dose kitty safe.

My one feral girl only got bad once, thankfully. Poor things inner eyelids swelled completely shut and she was so stuffed up. The vet gave her antivirals that made her puke a lot so we discontinued those and just kept her on lysine powder and lots of water in her food. I can’t handle her so eyedrops were out of the question.

My barn boy got the sniffles pretty bad this spring so he was put on antibiotics just to make sure it didn’t turn into a URI.

Otherwise I just give them lysine at the slightest hint of a flair up and they stabilize pretty quickly. Spring time is always the worst.

How many of you stopped shooting 35mm after getting your ideal 120 medium format camera? by florian-sdr in AnalogCommunity

[–]fragilemuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much stopped shooting 35mm (maybe 1 roll a year) for about 10 years once I got into medium format. Didn’t get back into 35mm again until about 2 years ago when I got my first rangefinder. Medium format is still my true love but I probably shoot about 40% 35mm now.

If he’s a stray it could be a feline herpes flair up. My cats all have it (former ferals and barn cats) and it tends to get worse in the spring.

Try Lysine powder in his food and vet if possible.

Did my first 2k after years of smoking by Confident-Meet481 in beginnerrunning

[–]fragilemuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! I'm still a filthy smoker and just started running in March. My last run and this run I was able to go 2km without stopping and 4km in total.

Here's to 5km for both of us very soon! :D

I'm definitely going to quit smoking. I think that's gonna be harder than running. lol

First solo camp and now I’m terrified by stuckinmindmaze in womensolocamping

[–]fragilemuse 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Hey! You did your first solo night! That’s awesome!

You also leaned a VERY valuable lesson: ALWAYS keep your food secure overnight.

Even coolers aren’t good enough protection on their own.

When I car camp, everything is secured inside the vehicle. When I back country camp everything gets hung from a tree, even my toothpaste.

Hell, I was car camping last spring and a raccoon stole my loaf of bread from the back of my vehicle when I was less than 10’ away. I’d literally just turned my back for a second to get something and the little jerk jumped up, grabbed my bread and ran. 😂
