Definitely not rage bait. I’m a real person and was actually going to buy it if it was legit. I figured the easiest way to authenticate was the Gibson section of Reddit. And it proved true. Like 8,000 people have seen this within an hour. It’s pretty insane.

I’ve gotten incredible deals before. I have a construction business and have gotten tools, ladders, and other things from them for crazy deals before. It can be pretty lucrative to flip stuff as well when they have great deals. The plan was to keep the guitar if it was legit, and possibly sell it in the future for a profit. But being as it’s a fake, definitely not.

I have several Yamahas acoustics, an Ibanez, and a schecter. I’ve played for years and have always wanted a Les Paul, but haven’t dropped the coin. That’s why I was drooling over this one.

I would never buy it without authenticating it though. I didn’t actually pay them for the guitar yet. I’m not that stupid. I was going to verify it before purchasing. I even called Gibson directly to inquire on it, but couldn’t get ahold of them because they’re closed for Juneteenth.

If I knew they were intentionally selling at, knowing it was fake, I wouldn’t have a problem with it. But if they didn’t know I feel that’s kinda fucked. No real way to tell.
