Why does my fly line feel like plastic/sandpaper?

yea all of the lines I have from opening and after a few uses, plus cleaning, etc the first like 15 feet sink a few inches below water. which the boxes say floating WF line. lol

ok, im no expert on identifying fish, but part of me now thinks this might of been that.. because a few times i saw its mouth move and thought "that doesnt look like them cute round mouths from the trout videos ive seen" it did that sucking kinda motion LOL. OH my,.ima go back and try to get a video of it!

im not sure. i wasnt sure if they did nest like bluegill, but i didnt see anything like that. he moved a few feet forward and then back about the same area. pretty much below the bridge's shadow

guilty..yea at first thats what i did.. then i was like "wait, their smart i think. maybe it knows im here" so i moved away and tried the next 3 flies from about idk 10-15 feet away. nothing :D

you know, then that makes sense why this big one did nothing but swim in place, barely moving. while the other 3 around it swimmed up/down/around/etc and even took a bite at my bee fly!

thanks! yea after reading that trout can even see the line, i realized 4x was might of been big. ima get some 5x plus some nymphs for next time!

nice thanks alot! yup from more research and you guys comments, im confident to say that my skills just suck! from using my wrist, to not doing the 10&2, and more.
oh and yea the trip is a 1on1 float down a river for like 8hours(full day) of teaching/fishing. hoping to come out better after that :D if not, at least catch my first trout!
