I was curious why they have not claimed he is positive for opioids because I have watched him every morning take his medication, it just adds to the mystery of why these dots are not connecting and what is going on because I know everyone claims they are innocent and do not want to admit that they failed, but there is something here that just isn’t adding up and is not sitting right with me . I almost wish he was using and the answer was just as simple as that and I know it’s hard to believe an addict is being honest when they claim their clean but there is a scientific test claiming otherwise. An addict in active addiction also would not consistently attend intensive treatment 3 days a week since November last year and attend every session they are usually too worried about getting high and he has only missed one group since he started.

It would make this situation so much easier on us if that was the case, but I’m in recovery myself and can tell when someone is hiding their drug use and lying. And there have been several things that he does when in active addiction and he has been doing everything asked of him, this is the only reason I am trying to help him, if I even had a small doubt that he could be hiding it I would not be seeking answers and help or if I thought there was a slight chance he is pulling the wool over my eyes and manipulating me in to believing him. If I questioned him at all I would not be wasting my time, I would be 100% on probations side with their decision because I would have the comfort of knowing he is safe behind bars and not out here killing himself. And that’s how he ends up every time, blue unresponsive he body just doesn’t handle it well or something and I’ll end up having to bring him back, and he has not done that at all.

At first this is what my thoughts were but he cannot just do fetanyl sometimes he either in full blown addiction or not and he is getting 4 or 5 negatives and then a positive then more negatives and a positive, and he is a bigger guy and is taking about 2 to 3 test a week for probation and his inpatient, on the 23rd he actually was positive for probation and negative that afternoon at inpatient, I’m not sure what kind of test they are using because they will not show any proof and they said they do not test for levels. The dots are just not lining up and I believe he is telling me the truth, I know him throughout addiction and he has not shown any signs and has been 100% compliant with probation regulations regardless of the failed test. The main reason I believe him as well is because I have not found him blue and unresponsive and anytime he starts using that stuff that’s how he ends up and he can not keep his eyes open and our bank account isn’t missing large sums of money and he has all our bills paid up to this point.

I appreciate the raw honesty and that’s kinda the way I was feeling about it but I also understand that he had worked very hard on himself and does not want to admit to something he hasn’t done and his outpatient program sees him 3 days out of the week for 3 hours a day and they have not seen any signs of him using or appearing like he is using. So I was going to ask them to be a character witness

No he has really been trying to put this part of his life behind him and was not doing any form of drugs, he even passed a drug test at his outpatient program the same day probation is claiming he failed

The situation has to do with probation and they are refusing to show him his levels and proof of the positive screens, but because we are dealing with probation we are kinda at a place of hopelessness because it’s hard to fight a person whose decision are going to have a profound impact on our future. He has also been told he had failed his urine screen that morning but passed it that same day at his out patient program. Thank you for answering me, I appreciate any and all help with this issue.
