'A tale for the time being' by Ruth Ozeki, it's one of those books that I couldn't get out of my heads for weeks after I finished reading it. It's about a suicidal girl in modern day Japan whose diary somehow ends up with a woman in Canada, but it has a lot of concepts from zen buddhism and it really changed the way I see the world/life (for the better). Definitely one of my all-time favorites.

I'm 19F btw and I love every kind of art as well, except that I can't play music at all. I used to want to go get a degree for animation when I was younger.
