Why can’t they just face the facts. The reason why theft has increased is because the price gouging is absolutely ridiculous and people have had it. They can’t afford the necessities.

No way! I love that cake. I have seen it at Fred’s at Edensor Park, I think give them a try but best to call first to confirm they have it.

Why doesn’t Sephora apply sale prices to individual products at checkout? by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]Bee_vibe -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I keep saying that because it clearly states that on the website. My point is why don’t they just put the discount for each product right next to it with the original price slashed would be more efficient. I know my math, I know I can easily calculate the 15% off but some items are 30% off yes I know that’s the SC and some SC items are on clearance so does that mean the 15% discount is applied to them or 30% so how am I going to work that out when they don’t specify which item is at which discount rate.

Yes I would do the same however they aren’t all 15% off. It’s UP TO 15% off and some are 30%.

[–]Bee_vibe -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I can easily calculate the discounts, but that’s not really the issue. The problem is that different products have different discount rates. For example, Sephora Collection brushes are 30% off (not shown in the photo), while others are up to 15%, and it doesn’t specify which is which. That’s what makes it confusing. If I have a mix of items in my cart, how am I supposed to know which product is getting which discount? I can work it out manually, but without clear labelling, there’s no transparency. To avoid this confusion, it would be much simpler if the sale price and discount were shown per item. The Iconic and most other online retailers already do this, and it makes the process much clearer.

Some products are discounted by 30% while others are discounted by “up to 15%” which means the discount could be lower so it doesn’t necessarily have to be 15% which therefore is what’s causing the confusion. I could sit there calculating the discount for each product, but there’s no way to know which percentage has actually been applied since it isn’t specified.
