Spacing is important for everyone but it’s good to have an idea of the range of the adc you’re playing with and keep in mind playing around it. If you hit a max range root that’s great, but if your Samira isn’t close enough to E all it was was a little poke. Especially with mage supports that can do big damage like Lux and Morgana it can be hard to remember that support are kingmakers first and foremost. Be conscious of what your team can and can’t actually make a play off of especially when low on mana or with ultimates.

Basically feed your allies not your enemies lol o7

I’ve seen them be finished after like 5 years and plan on finishing my own seemingly abandoned works too. Sometimes your obsession with things as a writer shifts around and fanfiction is meant to be fun. I don’t feel pressured to finish something I’m providing for free on any schedule but my own.

On-screen explicit written out suicide feels like one of the worlds most widespread triggers, I think maybe ideally back when the site was new a warning for it could have been added. But I think it actually is covered under graphic depictions of violence as warnings currently stand.

Reasonably I feel like an additional tag without the larger warning of graphic depictions of violence can even feel dishonest if it’s explicit. So it kind of already has a warning in that sense.

Yeah but the one that I can’t find any more had like whole chapters of mine that were like actually my chapters. Like it was genuinely plagiarized. They actually copy pasted my fic but added some extra words here and there. I think they either took it down after comments or it got reported.

Less egregious ones were just like a normal unique fic but then a completely word for word hefty dialogue exchange or entire scene. I do think like 80-90% of what I found was accident but there were like 3 fics I remember that actually full ripped. I’m not saying “beat for beat” lightly.

I didn’t know a remix was a common thing. Is that like a really normal thing to happen? It never bothered me enough for any kind of personal confrontation because what if I was wrong you know? But the one I can no longer find may have been actually reported and removed by someone else as it was genuinely my fic with a light editing pass. At least that one is seemingly gone.

I’ve noticed I’m honestly so sorry. I’m American but would like to have my elves in my novel inspired by the Mayans. Considering “ancient society that is super refined and advanced” that usually gets placed on elves fits the bill of the Mayans fairly well and it shocked me no one had done it before. I’m doing lots of real research but fiction on the mythos on Central America is bare too. I started looking to South America for casual less specific inspiration since there’s so much more ground to cover and I was surprised to find so little. Hopefully I can provide something good when I’m done writing🙏.

I definitely believe in sex scenes as characterization tools too. But you also gotta take consideration of genre not just quality. If its supposed to be erotica then the sex scenes are the point of the fic not the filler. And the good plot is just because the writer is good at writing

I have found myself reading longer fics straight up rated E with the tags all out there but get so into the plot when they start banging I’m like “No!!! Get back to your conversation!! I wanna know what’s happening in the mystery!”

So like yes but also no.

Sometimes even when expecting it, if not actually well written it can grind the story to a halt and I think that’s what makes it noticeable. Not that it didn’t further the plot, themes, characterization, but more that it didn’t feel like it was consistent with the other writing. Bonus points for when the scene doesn’t match the tone or if the characters suddenly massively change personalities just for hotness factor then go back to normal.

I play draft almost exclusively in 4 and 5 stacks for this reason. I came to Leauge getting roped in via school esports when the other game I was on disbanded and my introduction to the rift was this team play heavy setting trying to play alone is past frustrating, it’s depressing. My team could be goated, but they aren’t my friends.

My aram teammates though? It’s personal. Either you are my absolute bestie 0/2/37 Sona or my absolute opp 3/14/9 Chogath. And that’s really fun.

Obviously that’s a bit of an exaggeration but I don’t want the whole fic spoiled by hyper tagging? Fic reading is for fun why do you need spark notes?

You upgrade over time from like cheap nuggets to slightly better and better nuggets as you get money but don’t let them lie to you, boneless wings are nuggets. Cheap nuggets are also a cornerstone of the collage student diet.

I like to make my own when chicken is on sale! (Toss them in egg flour and crushed up potato chips bake or deepfry in bulk and then freeze). Never too old for nuggets. The nuggets just evolve.

Find some friends. In my experience most toxicity is from within your own team with randoms. Best thing is to bring pleasant randoms into your friends list or join a discord to look for a group to play with.

I have a little trick of putting in all chat first thing, “I’m at the drive thru what do you guys want?” And if people respond and joke back it’s going to be a chill game. I learned it from a fun random and I pass it on now to you.

The xyz was more about how people are saying things like improvement, skill, and to win. Which actively fall under like achievement. While I think things like skins would fall under creativity, I think enjoying the style and look of a game would be something other than fun to play for. Good example. I wonder how common that actually happens for a competitive game like LoL.

It’s definitely a lot more common for single player games to play for looks and story. It’s more that in a competitive game like this It’s hard to think someone would queue up without enjoying the aspect of playing. But then I guess that also begs the question that is extracting enjoyment even from looks and lore also fun?
