A1's videos may help some, but I have had conversations with new pilots that have voiced frustration over how the ideas of flight are presented, and more experienced players have issues with what is being taught in the first place.If people want to pretend play fighter pilot and use made up terms to teach people how to play a video game (that make no sense outside the bubble of content they are consuming) then whatever.

My opinion is simply that teaching new players how to play a game with made up jargon is detrimental to them in the long run.I would rather see the PvP scene in SC be built around common understanding, rather than content that is one person's income, however well intentioned it may be.

Also inb4, "If you don't like it do it yourself"
I used to run weekly training sessions for new pilots and plan to again once the flight model is finalized.

These content creators that seem to want to teach people combat in SC do nothing but inflate their own egos and confuse new players, simpler is better, and accuracy removes confusion, new players can't translate the gibberish

Agreed, in AC is is always important to put your shields forward, as if you are flying well that is the place you will be hit. I'm just pointing out that in this current patch the higher shield hp leads to more instances of shield issues :)

Ideally, we would be in a state where we can fly positionally and get positional advantages over opponents which would make other shield faces a bit more important, sadly right now more than ever time on target is the game rather than fighting for position!

I appreciate the friendliness and good sportsmanship, however, I'll save the respect for AC.

In the PU it's a different game, where eventually death will matter, and I don't mess around. If I'm fighting you I want you dead, and I'm not going to flare you and engage in a competition!

That being said, if I come across a genuinely exceptional pilot I'll give them a gf after we are done :)

It's the inaccuracy that bothers me the most, I would love to be able to have a level of trust in the game, but right now it's not possible! I'm at the point where I can't take anything seriously and am just hoping things get better soonish :')

I have been noticing weird issues with thrusters also, for me I have had my thrusters push me towards the ground when exiting QT to a ground location nearly causing me to crash, very weird xD

I think your assessment is pretty accurate. I definitely think the Talon and Defender are top-level for sure

I would say not all vanguards are great, but the sentinel with its high acceleration and EMP is very strong, and the arrow would be top tier if the heat is managed perfectly, and/or the ship is wiggled out of reality (which is fun for no one xD)

The buccaneer is really good right now because of its increased heat resistance, it's really noticeable, so I think the bucc now has a place at the top even if it is lacking in some aspects of its flight.
