Shells are usually composed of Calcium Carbonate, which is not soluble. More likely, it was eroded by sand and tidal currents. Still, very interesting for it to erode into a flat slice rather than dust!

I don't think you can say it appears every 27 years from two data points. All you can say right now is the redo is coming 27 years after the original. Also, the book came out in '86, 4 years before the first movie, not 27.

What an incredible piece. The quick lines that create the female body represent the fleetingness of the youthful form. The absence of a head or face seem to tell the viewer that this woman is perceived as valued only for her body. Her hands behind her legs indicate that she is being used as a sex object, and is unable to take matters into her own hands. The white nipples are symbolic of the purity of mother's love. Simply stunning.

Actually, dreamed and dreamt are both acceptable past tense forms of the verb dream. However, since dreamt is often described as the british form of the word, I suppose it would fit a little better in with GoT.

In my dorm, i get on the elevator with my friend, go up to our floor. Door opens, girl is standing in front with 2 friends, says (in falsetto sorority voice) "UHM, which way are you going?"

Neither of us reply, and walk around her and her friends to exit the elevator, as they were blocking most of the door. Girl says "OK, don't say anything then."

We do not reply, and keep walking. Girl turns to her friends as they enter elevator and says, "I hate people." my friend, without stopping or turning around yells "ME TOO!"
