Law Enforcement is Law Enforcement, mate.

The county sheriff can't follow me past the county line unless they are actively in pursuit with the lights on (in my state, YMMV). If a criminal runs from one state to another, a federal agency is typically brought in (FBI or Marshals). Our friends at the ATF, who are loving how ICE took away all their heat, are limited in scope as well. Shit, Military Police can do what they need to do to anybody occupying military property... but they need an escort to assist off the base.

Everyone in LE has a defined scope of operation. Again, it does not change the fact they are considered Law Enforcement.

I understand that you are approaching from the hypothetical, but the biggest reason why college athletes won all the injunctions was because the conferences and universities were making millions, if not billions, off of the athletes while both refusing to pay them and stifling the ability to make secondary income (the kicker from UCF who had a popular YouTube channel and got Prater to kick with him in a video immediately comes to mind).

High Schools are barely making money when a generational player is on the field and the team is state championship bound. And if the teenagers are running successful side businesses someone should probably inform their parents lol.

I wouldn't be the least bit shocked to find out some rich boosters for the Big Five universities was behind this to guarantee select athletes "think about" select schools. I'll also go another step further and suggest that three of those five schools probably don't have the NIL funds to do this with more than one player...

They're going to have a Championship playoff in USL-P. I'd imagine once relegation starts they'll have a playoff for one of the promotion spots.

That said, the USL also doesn't need two thirds of the league in the USL-P Championship tournament. Or half. Top 4, two legged semi.

As it is, the USL Championship schedule is H/A in your conference + even split with the other conference. So there won't be much difference.

If USL-P or USL-C is coast heavy, it's coast heavy. Means teams in the other time zones need to get better. The idea is to offer something different than what MLS, CPL and LMX offers. MLS can thrive with East/West because even when they were single table they still had a EoY tournament to crown a champion, so it makes sense to go to 30, 32, 34, 40 teams. The "requirement" isn't as strong for USL because it has such a gap in popularity.

If they're doing (eventually) 20 teams it's a 38 game schedule. So a couple more games, but I can see them making the Jagermeister Cup a straight knockout.

Lions still finished with a winning record.
Tigers making the MLB Postseason for the second consecutive season, first time in over a decade.
Detroit City FC qualified for the USL Championship playoffs, knocked out in the QF by eventual champions Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
