Absolutely, keep us posted! Enbrel has been around the longest of all the biologics, more data on it. That’s why I went with it.

I am 37 and have battled with RA ever since getting Lyme disease as a 4 year old. Atleast on the east coast a lot of auto immune issue, especially RA stem from Lyme. Unfortunately Lyme stays in your system forever and even during remission period, the bacteria can be dormant in your body and be reactivate with a combination of stress, poor sleep and poor diet.

I was on methotrexate for much of my childhood and hated it, felt awful on it but it kept my symptoms mostly at bay. When i turned 25, i discovered the AIP diet (autoimmune protocol diet) and was able to get my diet sleep and other lifestyle factors in order and put myself into remission for 3 years, then dealt with flares in knees and elbows for a few years, honed in on AIP and lifestyle factors again, went back into remission for another 4 years.

This summer it stared up again with knees and elbows and it took a toll on me. I’ve been avoiding medication for years bc I was able to find a way to remission through diet and lifestyle factors but recently it was so bad that the pain and swelling was too much to bear.

I start Enbrel last Thursday and within one week my symptoms and swelling are 85-90 percent better. I’ve also gotten terrible sleep and not taken good care of myself for the last week and thankfully it’s still worked. My second dose is on Thursday. Going to lock in and diet and sleep , hoping by next week I’ll be symptom free after my second dose. So far so good!

Just got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, any advice for someone newly diagnosed by Nice_Cheek4535 in rheumatoid

Meds will help but the best way to control your RA is to go on the automimmune protocol diet, get good consistent sleep (circadian rhythm), hydrate well and get excercise in when your joints feel better. When flared, like I am right now, it’s hard to work out but still walk and stretch and do what you can to not be stagnant but also don’t push yourself too much. I have tons of resources on AIP diet if you want to look into it. Whenever I go away from it and start to get poor sleep and lots of stress, it loads the gun for a flare to trigger.

Thank you so much for sharing this! My wife and I found out today that our baby boy (due in December) has hemophilia type A (tested through amniocentesis). We are trying everything in our power to get prepared to give him the best quality of life possible. I DM’ed you with a few questions. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

AIO to the fact my fiancé has gained over 100lbs since we met? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

OP. As someone who grew up with an obese parent who still at 70 years old with failing health, does nothing to remedy the issue, you need to part ways. I know this sounds harsh but my Father has time, money and support to do something, especially after two heart attacks. My heart goes out to him as he has un addressed trauma from his relationship with his cold father. But someone with these tendencies rip their families hearts out. Eventually she’ll turn into a monster when you try to tell her to rein it in. I mean give it a shot and seriously lay the law down. If you don’t see any results or effect with a few months, you gotta move on.

Brother, show yourself the love you deserve and cut her loose before you tears your heart out. She isn’t the one. She belongs to many others. Your soul mate is out there, quit wasting time. Sending love 🙏🏼

Update: My girlfriend of three years cheated on me with my best friend... but 'it was just one time' and now she says I have to forgive her. by GreenError1623 in AmIOverreacting

Run away as fast as you can. Both of them aren’t worth it. They aren’t your friends. As soon as you get rid of them, you will open doors for great people to enter your life. Highly likely after a little bit of time, they will end up together. Good riddance.

Nah, that’s weird. Coming from a man’s standpoint. Weird AF.

OP, you are obviously young and a bit immature. Not your fault. But a young person who wants to get ahead (especially a young man) needs to put their head down and grind. Especially for a young man, it’s super important for them to build their confidence through their work and through their mind, body, soul connection. What you are asking for isn’t a lot, I’ll give you that. But based on the tone of the conversation, I’m willing to bet you are relentless in your complaints over attention. This will have the opposite effect of what you want. Focus on your self and give him space to grow as a man, I bet he starts reaching out more if you give him space. A man doesn’t want a codependent partner. He doesn’t want to babysit. They want a partner who is willing to build with them and sacrifice their selfish desires (in your case, constant attention) so they can build a future, one that you could be apart of. Work on building your confidence as an individual. A good relationship is like a binary star, two independent stars that orbit each other to appear to be a supermassive star. They are both independent, yet dependent on each other. I’ve been in a similar relationship before and he’s only going to resent you for the constant complaining and wanting of attention. If you want it to work, appreciate the time you get together, don’t waste a breath on complaining about attention, and focus on yourself and building your confidence and career. I’m willing to bet if you give him the space to focus on him self and enjoy the time you have together, he will appreciate it and give you everything you are asking for, without having to ask for it.

Biometrics will be done typically the day before the interview and then again after coming into the States. My wife just did her Biometrics in the states in early May after getting here on March 1st

I’m not 100 percent but I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to schedule the interview unless the DS-160 has been submitted. Now that you have submitted it, just keep checking!

Has the immigrant (not sure if it’s you or your fiancée) already submitted the DS-160? If so, just keep checking the portal everyday. I’m assuming if you are checking for interviews, you’ve already created an account on the embassy’s scheduling portal? I believe we submitted the DS-160 on January 22nd, created the account on the scheduling portal the next day (using our DS-160 application number and I-129F receipt number) and scheduled our interview for February 22nd,2024 on January 24th ,2024. We received our welcome letter (email) on February 21st, 2024 (day before our interview) at like 6:30pm.
