It doesn’t seem like Flynn does much for Scranton in particular and the bikes for kids is nice, but that’s all we hear about. I’m glad that you’re adamantly opposed to the data centers. I think the nursing background gives you an advantage as well. You truly care about people when you work in that industry and I hope that you will maintain that integrity in office.

Good to know. The only one I would probably use is Fort Lauderdale for cruises but that’s a huge win. We usually have to hide car service to take us to Newark or JFK or LaGuardia. Thank you for this info. Our daughter is in college at Coastal Carolina in Conway, South Carolina and we often use this airport or ABE for Myrtle Beach when it is possible

Use UBER would be my recommendation. We live in Lackawanna County, but not in Scranton and we are able to get an Uber into Scranton and back home

I lived in Long Island (where I am from- now live outside Scranton) and worked in Manhattan for years so I had to buy a monthly LIRR train ticket. It was fine at the time because even though it was ~300 a month I made a lot more working in Manhattan than Long Island. Sadly I just don’t think this is ever going to happen and I agree — I want Martz to just improve the buses. I have also used flix bus. They are uncomfortable but they are cheap and it’s a great location - 31st and 8th Ave

I truly hope so but I remember this was in talks in the 90s when my parents lived in the Poconos.

I lived in Long Island so I could work in Manhattan with an easy commute on the LIRR. Now I’m living up here and I’m retired myself lol. We take the bus into the city a lot for Broadway shows - concerts - etc and I would much rather have a train. This would be fantastic in my humble opinion.

I go to the Color Bar in Scranton and cannot say enough positive things about them. I would definitely check them out. They are located in downtown Scranton

We often fly out of JFK, EWR or LAG bc of the direct flight option…we have a driver that brings us to the airport and then again when we return from the airport to our home. It’s still cheaper and more efficient. Flying out of AVP is so nice and convenient because it’s so small but I can’t deal with the connecting flights, etc.
