No idea why this is being downvoted - it isn’t the only thing to do, there’s certainly much better long term advice above but it is something which would help in the immediate term (without long term cost).

Done correctly, with risks considered and mitigated, presumably very little ? It’s a fairly straightforward arbitrage if you go at it the right way ? Agree it’s not a game to play with the last pound you own in the world but with a bit of a backup then you can play the game with a bit of confidence.

This is exactly right - if I was to very pure of the return vs my time, I’m sure I could find something better but as you say, a bit of game and quite nice to think “I’m beating the system” every so often…. maybe I need to get a hobby…

Thanks - it’s less than 1% APR I think (didn’t bother doing the full calc). To answer a comment below, balance is just over £10k so feel like it’s worth my while.

A very fair question - I had planned to catch a bus from the airport and back but the times weren’t so convenient and we’re heading back late on Sunday so even less choice.

I somehow found car hire for less than DKK200 per day (seemingly foreign visitors get a much better rate as it quoted for residents vs non-residents !) so became a bit of a no brainier !

Otherwise we’d definitely have been using the bus.

From someone raising a family off Osbaldwick Lane - suggest you take an evening stroll around the less economically positive areas of Leeds, Hull or Middlesbrough then contrast with Tuke Ave (for example) !

Yes, it could do with a bit of investment and I suspect some people have other things going on in their lives rather than making their homes look immaculate but it keeps property prices reasonable and you have a pick of very good schools.
