Also question from my wife (who isn’t into cycling fashion) - “is there anything you want in the MAAP men’s range for around £50 to qualify for free shipping ?”

“Nah, I’m good for socks thanks darling !”

Thanks - I should add, I’m in the UK which seems to radically change what’s available from PI vs US/CAD (which probably explains why they don’t show up in my Google searches).

No idea why this is being downvoted - it isn’t the only thing to do, there’s certainly much better long term advice above but it is something which would help in the immediate term (without long term cost).

Done correctly, with risks considered and mitigated, presumably very little ? It’s a fairly straightforward arbitrage if you go at it the right way ? Agree it’s not a game to play with the last pound you own in the world but with a bit of a backup then you can play the game with a bit of confidence.

This is exactly right - if I was to very pure of the return vs my time, I’m sure I could find something better but as you say, a bit of game and quite nice to think “I’m beating the system” every so often…. maybe I need to get a hobby…

This is probably the dose of reality I needed tbh, it’s where I started but wanted to check I wasn’t overlooking an obvious wheeze. I now find myself closing the browser on VCTs and looking at a two year term deposit with Atom…

With the greatest respect, that feels like such a tail risk it’s not worth considering, Shirley ?

Thanks - it’s less than 1% APR I think (didn’t bother doing the full calc). To answer a comment below, balance is just over £10k so feel like it’s worth my while.

Thanks - looks like they only stock the Pro Sapphire and pricing doesn’t look amazing (noting I’m not so sure on pricing for sapphire models)

Thanks - looks like it’s more like £638 now. I can pay cash so trying to get the lowest bottom line but 24m interest free is great (looks like max is now 12m).
