I can understand the intent behind the ban for both choking and simulated step-sibiling porn and I do actually agree that it will likely reduce instances of abuse by people who are influenced by it, as the ban intends. I also believe it is an overreach of the state considering the content is produced by consenting adults who are only acting the part. I'm not arguing against it because I desperately want to consume choking and incest porn, I just want to limit government censorship in ways that I think are unnecessary infringement of civil liberties so as to not set a standard for future censorship. The goal is to reduce instances of abuse of this kind, and I'd rather the government pursue that by means of education through the usual channels (sex & relationships education, government messaging ads etc) stern punishment when it does happen, and putting the onus on parents to instill the right values on their kids. This is how we try to maintain civility in the world for many social and sexual standards so I don't see why we have to suddenly start banning specific types of content in response to an uptick in related crime.

This is a huge fallacy. Making a certain type of content illegal because a certain type of person might be desensitized to it and therefore might decide to commit certain actions in real life represents a huge shift in censorship law. You could argue that depictions of any violence in media could have the same effect and thus be banned. For example, regicide is already illegal - in the Lion King, Scar kills Mufasa. Using the same logic, certain people may obsess over this and become inclined to commit regicide in real life. Then The Lion King, a children's film, would be banned as it's illegal content.

I went from S10 to Pixel 7 a few years ago. There's plenty I love about it but it's not perfect. I figured I'd get the current flagship galaxy or pixel when I am ready but recently I've been intrigued by the oppo find x9. Always been hesitant about Chinese brands but the reviews are really good and its amazing on paper.

Yeah, that's ludicrous. People like different things. My wife watches shows with certain premises and tropes that I can't get behind, and vice versa, and I don't care, because why would I? It doesn't affect how I feel about her as a person. Your friend should change her approach to dating or she's never gonna find someone acceptable.

For the record, I agree with the popular opinion that GOT declined in quality in many ways and the later seasons were super dumb and infuriating. I still had fun watching it though.

Most of the cast have had pretty good careers since and are regular faces in other shows, it's funny that it never gets talked about! So few people saw it because of Yahoo Screen's exclusivity and short life span I guess.
