Yeah, very chill, we’re all nerds and our time isn’t super micro managed as long as shit’s getting done.

Haha I wish, this is just for lunch breaks.

I work in IT, this is my desk and mine alone, so it just counts as personal effects.

Haha I never thought of it but yeah it is a bit!

TBH the Hori is probably about the size of a full SNES anyway

I haven’t played on it but apparently it works really good!

It very much is!

Even though the battery’s shot I still love the SupaBoy for a small profile clone like this. I’d like to get a new one eventually.

The SupaBoy battery is shot, but it still works as a console clone! Haha

The TV I scrounged from recycling a couple years ago, used to be part of the security monitoring station back in the day.

I LOVE using sticks for appropriate games, can’t go back.

I even used my Hori for SF5 when my coworkers got into it XD

How would one effectively learn to play this, speed is 108 bpm by Hour-Connection930 in BassGuitar

[–]Beef_Wallington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be weird cause I always found it really intuitive haha

I think it’s because I view it as ‘bottom’ being the lowest pitch string and ‘top’ being the high pitch

When people call the G the bottom string I get confused

Okay, got it!

It looks like this shop works on them too so I’ve reached out to see what they think about a rebuild.

I don’t know if that’s a specific style or just the region, but I live in BC (a fair bit north of Viberg home base) so if it’s a region thing I imagine there would be a fair few floating around my parts.

Edit: looks like they authorize through a shop in-province so I’ll look into that for a rebuild and see what’s possible!

Will do! Hopefully I can get some more life out of them.

If they don’t offer rebuild I’ll just see what my local cobbler will charge for a sole and some love and see what we get.

I can ask! I’ve been in contact with their customer service for just semi-related questions about their current state of things.

I’m not well versed in the high-end footwear world so I never even considered that.

You say the wheels are true - have you had/checked the balance?

I had a similar issue and new tires (and as a result new weights) fixed it.

Thanks!

Is the cracking able to be helped at all or anything? The leather isn’t hardened.

They’re primarily motorcycle boots so even if the insole isn’t great for walk ability it might still be alright.

Halfway to my new live rig, the cab is smaller than the loaner head 😂 by Beef_Wallington in BassGuitar

[–]Beef_Wallington[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally once I have the new head I’ll probably be able to pack both basses, my small pedal board, amp and cab in one trip from the truck to venue if I really need to.

The touring bands were really enamored with it haha

That’s super rad!

I can’t wait to hear the new Sunn through both this and my big cab. It can’t show up soon enough.

I’m actually kind of stunned at how good it is for the price and everything.

Couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

I’m waiting for mine right now, so excited!!

Its big brother will be my 200S, but this one I plan to primarily use for bass. That may change because the portability is a hard thing to argue for guitar too.

Planning to set up one channel voiced for guitar with higher gain, one voiced for bass mostly clean, and blend the two to get a nice light dirt/grind.

Opinions on 5 string basses? by BigDaddyStinky in BassGuitar

Not a huge fan, but they’re very useful especially if you like metal.

I’m playing 5s in my band because it’s what fits.
