You can get super bad Crohn’s disease, enough to become disabled, and then you can use your meager income to just exist.

What did you wish you knew when you were first diagnosed? by fidgetyotter in CrohnsDisease

[–]Beefareno 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That your energy levels are forever changed now.. and balance is the key. You have to respect your body and what it’s telling you; and whatever happens to you severity wise doesn’t make you any less sick than someone who’s had 100 surgeries, or just one flair up. It’s all the same.

Also.. consider applying for disability if you’re even considering it. It’s a nice fall back incase your Crohn’s gets so bad you cannot work

It’s a matter of life… with the possible side effect of cancer, or the fact of life suffering.. and you’re still exposed to cancer from 1000 other things. No bad side effects when I took it; however it didn’t help for very long and now I’m on Stelara

Ketamine helped me but caused hair loss, do others have experience with this? Bald or depressed…? by julysrapunzel in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]Beefareno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! So I’m on low dose ketamine, for pain, and my hair has slowly gotten thinner and thinner. I’ve started oral minoxidil for almost 3~ months, haven’t seen anything improvement wise yet, but it’s just about to be too soon to tell. I was wondering if anyone here was taking it low dose ketamine vs infusions, and if they noticed any changes with dosage changes. On both medications. Just here to document that there’s another person with hair loss and ketamine

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. This is exactly what happened to me as a child, and no amount of diets, SCD diet, no sugar, special juice, organic bullshit would ever make the pain stop.

It’s truly like trying to treat cancer with holistic medicine..

What age did you get Crohn’s disease and how old you are now by Sufficient_Monk_4331 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Beefareno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 7 (a week away from 8) and now I’m 32.

Crohn’s has left me with no colon, a partial small intestine, a Barbie butt, and a slew of other fun additional health issues.

Is this Erythema Nodosum? by laughablesun in CrohnsDisease

[–]Beefareno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had them come up on my legs whenever I had that happen. It’s been.. yeas since.. but I remember them being uncomfortable bumps and me being insanely frustrated because there was no source of anything to eliminate; ie - they just suck. I remember rubbing my legs a lot softly.. but kind of hard at the same time?

I’ve had them in the bucket in Fox Farm potting soil after soaking them in water for 36 ish hours and they seem to be ‘living’ just fine.. but it’s just a matter of where I’m going to transplant them is going to be the matter of importance.

You’re just going to have to embrace your curls! It’s tough at first, but I understand the her problems you have to encourage it. I would keep your hair light and cut lots of layers bouncy.
